But ML is actually FL's childhood sweetheart.

Cui Xing Zhou and Liu Mian Tang hands down is one of my favorite drama couples in 2024!

I'm glad he is not the one although he would be the perfect one. But that would be heartbreaking for Xing Zhou...

Not Princess Yong An. She's kinda villainous and dislikes Shen Du. It's probably Xu Wan. She's not a princess but the Grandma Dowager's confidante, so she's always by Grandma's side. In the character chart it's written she's Shen Du's childhood friend. But I think it's misunderstanding. I think it's not her but Yan Xing, but he coudn't see clearly when he was little.

It seems like they used the same ol' trope: childhood acquaintance/sweetheart whatever you called it. So when he is drunk he mentions the detention center and she is surprised he remembers her. Was it shown before that Shen Du and Yan Xing met before? Cos suddenly there is this flashback of their childhood together. Then after that, Shen Du says "Thanks, Madam Xu" and Yan Xing gets angry. So, he apparently doesn't remember her. And he thought that the Grandma Dowager's confidante Xu Wan was his childhood friend? Cos in the character chart it says Xu Wan is his childhood friend. But it should be Yan Xing, right?

Is she from the special force? Seems she's not only skilled in martial arts but also survival skills etc
