Yes it's adapted from a novel. The detail you can see in the Intro. But I have checked and it seems line never translated into English

Kampan is Thawin's 'brother' from the same tribe. From my understanding after watching the last episode (prehistoric scene) is that when Thawin was throwing curse on Momay, Kampan threw himself in front of her as he was trying to prevent what Thawin was doing, so Kampan got the effect of the curse. Therefore Kampan also lives 2000 years as Momay does, and has the same effect as Momay which doesn't feel heat. Now I actually wonders if the fact that he lives next to Momay is not that he has romantic interest on her, but to eventually find Thawin again, knowing that Thawin keeps looking for Momay era by era.

Seriously if they changed the title that's closer to the novel title: A Hundred Years Worth a Promise, or One Promise It's a Deal, I will watch it right away though it's school or not familiar with the cast ;D

Yes I agree with you. Sometimes I see a scene with the main leads that is considered toxic though there is no tag in the drama that one lead is mean/possessive/obsessive. It seems like the behavior is taken as romantic.

After did some reading I just realized that the Kdrama is a spin-off from the manhwa lol, completely different story. It'll be hard to pick C actors to match the Kdrama actors as the Kdrama characterizations are different than the manhwa. What you can do is pick the character traits then find an actor who played similar character in xianxia. So in character pictures you will compare the pics of what the character looks like in manhwa, next is the actor with regular clothes, next is his/her role in certain costume drama that depicts similar trait or appearance.
I give you an example. For Habaek, you maybe want to pick Xu Kai. So you put the Habaek manhwa pic on the left, then Xu Kai in the middle, then on the right his poster pic in The Legends. Actually his role in The Legends is a nice/calm/kind-hearted ML, but in the cast poster pic he can be seen as handsome, dark, temperamental god. You can just say: "though in the Legends his character is a kind-hearted guy, but I can picture Xu Kai plays as handsome, dark, temperamental god in BotWG"
