Although by the dictionary definitions cringey and awkward are the same, imo they're different. For me, awkward if I am caught in an embarrassing situation or meet someone I feel awkward to. Cringey if I see a situation that is embarrassing/awkward. I'm not in the middle or connected with it, like watching an embarrassing scene in a drama. But that's just my personal definition. 😊

The funny thing is recently I watched so many dramas with a childhood connection surprise, in which one person likes the other person from when they're like 9 years old or something, lol! When I was rereading this article I found that none of their works have this trope surprise and when I think about it, the childhood sweetheart/acquaintance trope is somewhat unrealistic and shows lazy screenwriting, imo those screenwriters could not develop a natural process of falling in love without past connection.

I know that one can argue that Go Ahead has a childhood connection, but Wang Xiong Cheng and Shui Qian Mo wrote a believable process of this connection into a slowly developed (slow burn) romance.

It's quite hard to find about people behind the scenes especially for production teams from non Kdramas. Many of them are faceless on MDL, lol. I have a habit to click on the directors and screenwriters' names, that was how I accidentally found them.

I don't think they'll have next life trope cos this is not xianxia. Somehow if a drama has 'real historical' vibe (not 'fantasy historical'), next life is not an option.

They changed the title from "Have Soft Spot for Her", that's close to the native title, to a more generic title "A Tale of Love and Loyalty". I think the title befits more is A Tale of Misunderstandings and Jealousy... 😂😂😂

Idk in SK, but at my place, service dogs are registered (and licensed as the common law). Because they can go to places that are normally prohibit pets, people can take advantage bringing their pets if not registered.

Yeah, the drama doesn't research what service dog means. They're trained to be super meek to everyone, especially the disabled master, and stay by the master's side for a seeing-eye dog. Labradors are commonly non-aggressive and friendly, mothers can become a little aggressive during breeding season protecting their pups, but not to the point of killing humans. Yeah, this is weird, even the playful dog temperament is weird, that's a regular dog, not a professionally trained service dog.
