have anyone read the novel? does saisamorn gets to act in the movie or nah? im so eager to knowww
Didn't read the novel but it seems like she will. In the last episode, the actress who played in the project got criticized for her bad acting, so the director is thinking about Saisamorn.
@Cho Na, I always admired your insights here. I am quite curious about this word, "cringey".When does an action…
Although by the dictionary definitions cringey and awkward are the same, imo they're different. For me, awkward if I am caught in an embarrassing situation or meet someone I feel awkward to. Cringey if I see a situation that is embarrassing/awkward. I'm not in the middle or connected with it, like watching an embarrassing scene in a drama. But that's just my personal definition. 😊
If only there was such a genius couple for historical/xianxia dramas! I’m surely not the only one wishing for…
Not a couple, for one Chinese screenwriter who writes scripts for historicals who came into my mind is Wang Juan (Young Blood, Joy of Life, Douluo Continent, Sword Snow Stride). But many of them are adapted from original sources.
All of there drama are free from evil and bullshit stuff, watched and loved all dramas.
The funny thing is recently I watched so many dramas with a childhood connection surprise, in which one person likes the other person from when they're like 9 years old or something, lol! When I was rereading this article I found that none of their works have this trope surprise and when I think about it, the childhood sweetheart/acquaintance trope is somewhat unrealistic and shows lazy screenwriting, imo those screenwriters could not develop a natural process of falling in love without past connection.
I know that one can argue that Go Ahead has a childhood connection, but Wang Xiong Cheng and Shui Qian Mo wrote a believable process of this connection into a slowly developed (slow burn) romance.
I am a bit fascinated by this pair of screenwriters too; originally after viewing "Go Ahead". I really enjoyed…
It's quite hard to find about people behind the scenes especially for production teams from non Kdramas. Many of them are faceless on MDL, lol. I have a habit to click on the directors and screenwriters' names, that was how I accidentally found them.
I was waiting for this article. I thought you had dropped this idea. I got some recommendations. Are you back…
Thanks for waiting!😊 Yeah, this topic was claimed on January 2023! I lost motivation last year and this idea was a candidate to be trashed into the expired claim section, lol. But I got to finish what I've started. As to answer your question: nah, maybe not. 😉
Ikr... the synopsis doesn't sound happy ending either... but if it's HE, I will definitely write a recommending…
I don't think they'll have next life trope cos this is not xianxia. Somehow if a drama has 'real historical' vibe (not 'fantasy historical'), next life is not an option.
can anyone explain what was up with the song chon guy? how was he related to nan gam? I kind of fast forwarded…
Song Chon was a subordinate of Nan Gam's father and idolized the father. Then he found out that the father smuggled drugs to China using that restaurant lady and didn't acknowledge it. He hit Nan Gam's father until he had severe brain damage and was put on life support.
That’s. What I was wondering also.. that’s the reason he left .. hopefully he will give the FL a divorce or…
It's been 15 years, probably the foreign wife is dead. The husband is open-minded and Westernized. I think he understands love cannot be forced and arranged marriages are old-fashioned, Besides, when the father arranged the marriage he is already 'dead', right? So, it's like a ghost marriage. I think he will give her annulment because when they got 'married' he already married someone else.
Kinda stress thinking about how they’ll be together now the husband is back alive. Also kinda can expect what…
The husband is open-minded and Westernized. I think he understands love cannot be forced and arranged marriages are old-fashioned, especially ghost marriages are horrible!
They changed the title from "Have Soft Spot for Her", that's close to the native title, to a more generic title "A Tale of Love and Loyalty". I think the title befits more is A Tale of Misunderstandings and Jealousy... 😂😂😂
Yeah, the drama doesn't research what service dog means. They're trained to be super meek to everyone, especially…
In the beginning, when the girl and the dog walk in the rain, it shows the dog wears service dog sign. That means the girl lied of it being a service dog. Idk in SK, but at my place, service dogs are registered (and licensed as the common law). Because they can go to places that are normally prohibit pets, people can take advantage bringing their pets if not registered.
