Title The Blood of Youth Spoiler
I watched this forever ago and I forgot why does su muyu kill changhe??? Watching blood river right now is just…
Su Chang He pretended to cooperate with the First Prince, but in fact, his true goal was to kill the eunuch Zhuo Qing — because many years ago, Zhuo Qing had massacred Su Chang He’s village. SCH never forgot the eunuch’s face. Su Mu Yu and Su Chang He shared absolute trust and understanding, and together they severely injured Zhuo Qing. (Unfortunately, he didn’t die — at the beginning of The Blood of Youth, he reappeared and gravely injured Xiao Se.)

In the end, Bai He Huai’s poison relapsed, and she was taken away for treatment by SCH and SMY’s master, Su Yun Xiu. However, the master told Su Zhe not to tell SMY, because she needs Bai He Huai to help her practice a special martial art. As a result, SMY believed she was dead. In the novel, they reunite 12 years later. (In fact, this was because the author wrote The Blood of Youth first — Bai He Huai didn’t exist in that story. She was a new character added in Blood River, so the author created a 12-year gap to make it more logical.)

The First Prince was eventually killed by Su Mu Yu and Su Chang He. To warn both the political powers of Tianqi City and the forces of the martial world — and to prevent anyone from using the Dark River organization again — they did not conceal this incident.

Prince Langya was rescued by his lover and did not die at the hands of the First Prince.

Finally, the author mentioned that while writing The Blood of Youth, he became very fond of the “villainous” assassin Su Mu Yu from the Dark River organization, so later he wrote Blood River as a standalone story for him. However, he didn’t expect his characters to develop free soul that they seemed to “decide their own fates.”

He admitted that he regretted giving Su Mu Yu and Su Chang He a sad ending too early in The Blood of Youth, and therefore suggested readers treat Blood River as a parallel timeline. Gong Jun also mentioned in a livestream that, in his opinion, this story is an independent narrative and should not be directly connected to The Blood of Youth. SMY and SCH are closest brothers forever.
