No? Maybe read the criticism and you'll see what the problem is. Not everything is hate, there's some sane people here tryna make a point because this show(the ep) is a step back for bl.

Yes and we all need to be exposed to each others opinions or we end up extremely narrow-minded. Everything should be able to receive criticism as much as support, and everybody should be able to voice their opinions. Especially if they think something is problematic and don't want people to be influenced in the wrong way. You have to be aware of they bad aspects of a show and then you can choose to accept them, but never act like they aren't real.

I get it if ppl wanna watch trash for fun or whatever reason, as long as they admit the issues when somebody else points them out and don't outright defend the show if it is problematic

I think a lot of people also look over this kinda stuff in bl because they watch it a little bit with the same eye people read fanfiction, aka closer to consuming porn-type content, and so anything flies as long as it's hot or entertaining. And that's fine, if you can admit it. Because if not it can have a pretty bad impact on the audience if they're convinced this is okay irl.

Elaboration (my thoughts on the scene at Payu's house + the aftermath):
- it could've been done as a "he got the wrong message from Rain (thinking he was flirting when he was just admiring him) since he's interested in the guy so he made a move but ended up getting rejected, and then we move on/he doesn't make any more unwanted advances. Now let's focus on Rain questioning his sexuality bcs he didn't hate it when Payu made a move". Except of course it wasn't. Instead Payu keeps going after being told no multiple times and Rain attempting to push him off, exhibiting "I deserve something" behavior simply bcs he got the wrong impression from Rain's actions( which was unintentional no matter if we the audience know he will like Payu eventually).
- lines such as "collecting the fee" are overdone and not "sexy" at all, not if you're being told no and have not discussed this with him
- ^yes some people like to play hard to get and get off on stuff like that but they did not confirm this with each other and might I add literally just met so they know nthn abt what the other might like, therefore to just go on your gut feeling and assume no means yes is so very w r o n g .
- Payu should have apologized and gone to sleep on the couch or at least not been a dick about it. The whole "haha you can't go anywhere cuz your car isn't working so u gotta sleep here no matter how uncomfortable I just made you" and "now I'm not in the mood (to....rape...you???) anymore" thing is gross.
- Also: why Payu acting like it was shocking Rain didn't trust him enough to sleep in the same room? You literally tried to force yourself onto him two secs ago?
- After this whole mess not only does Payu not realize his mistake, but he somehow tries to gaslight Rain into thinking HE was the issue (wth was that "you can sleep after causing all that ruckus?" line while Rain was asleep? ah yes, how dare he keep resisting and then be suspicious of you)
also later goes "I didn't do anything" in a snarky flirty way, which just proves he does not understand his mistake
- I wish Rain had talked to his friend about what happened at least. So he could stop with the "haha u like himmmm". AGAIN this would've worked so well if it was about Rain exploring/discovering/questioning his sexuality but no, it has to be after getting harassed that makes every part of this so uncomfortable to watch
- "Just because you're dressed doesn't mean nothing happened" HUH???? Wow so sexy maybe I raped you maybe I didn't uwu. Equally as disgusting line: "Wanna see what this asshole can do?" followed by "Scared?" ah yes threatening, my personal favorite type of flirting (after being told no oh so many times)

(don't come tell me this shit hot. As far as Rain has expressed he doesn't like it and is not interested in Payu. Idgaf what the audience knows, Payu doesn't. He can get the vibe all he wants, if a guy tells you no it's no for now so stop.)

- On a lighter note, I'm also over: calling the assumed bottom dumb etc (not gonna go into that rn but yeah we all know why), placing urself above him constantly, also the scene where Rain says "is ur brother gay" was good but could've been better


EDIT: I will respect if you can up and tell me you watch this but are aware of how bad it is. You can like it for the actors, for entertainment, whatever idc. But don't act like it isn't problematic as a story in itself.

So are we all just gonna pretend like that first ep didn't include sexual harassment and gaslighting in our supposed main ship?
