Yeah, agreed. This show is so good, characters are grey, cinematography is beautiful. Argh...nothing but praise for LZH. I just finished the epic battle of the duke. I liked the way they ended the arc for him. It was a cool and solid exit. I felt so sad for ZZX. Poor boy, all alone in the world now. Dreadful father, yes, but he was the only parent he had left. Duke was better at leading armies than dealing with his family matters. 😓

When ZZX asked ZH, are you happy now after what happened. Dang. Twist that knife in deep.

Fight scenes in EP 27 and EP 28 are just 🤌🤌🤌🤌

But I think as with all the period dramas we have watched, usually the heir is the son of the official wife. It was pretty much a done deal in a way until mother and son threw it all away. And in the sorry state Zhuang Zhi Fu is in now, what can he do as heir? JX cannot be around forever to be his regent. Delulu woman. Sighs...

Duke choose power over love. ZZX is the child he had with the woman he loved. JX is just a way of getting power. What a life. 😅
