Based on the drama, yes, Jing chose to hire someone else to crash XY and FL's wedding. Maybe Jing lacked the physical strength to act directly, maybe he prioritised political peace, or maybe it was to protect his reputation. There are many possible motivations — just as there are with Xiang Liu.
At the core of it, regardless of what XL may have felt, he accepted payment of 37 years’ worth of supplies for his army in exchange for disrupting and stopping the wedding of the woman he supposedly loved. That doesn’t mean he did not feel for XY, but it does complicate the narrative. Love typically doesn’t come with invoices.
So if we’re open to interpreting XL’s motives beyond the transaction, then it’s only fair to extend the same to Jing. Otherwise, we’re just romanticising one character while vilifying another. If we’re willing to consider one character’s reasons, we should be equally fair in considering the other’s.

While it is true that Jing could not gatecrash the wedding and asked Xiang Liu to do it, it is kinda grey because Xiang Liu took payment for gatecrashing XY's wedding. Payment being, Jing to provide provisions for his army for 37 years. So...was it a job to secure more provisions or was it being there for the love of his life?
Yes, all the characters are flawed in LYF, which makes them all so interesting. Just like in real life, one cannot have one's cake and eat it too, right? Some seem to forget that... even while happily munching on theirs. 🍰😉

There are no good or bad characters here, just characters written with depth and complexity and given the personality and circumstances they are in by their creator. Remove any one of them, like Tushan Jing or even Feng Long, and the story wouldn’t be the same LYF we’ve all come to love.
