Well deserved!. I’m so happy he’s getting recognition for his talent and oh so hot looks!
Yes! And it seems that ever since he got popular from his Qimin role in POJ, his styling and makeup have gotten so much better in his new projects even for a support role!

Deng Kai has finally been vindicated after 8 long years of being ignored!! πŸ₯Ή Gotta to try to show as much love and support as we can to him!

I kind of love it, but I'm old so that might explain it. I've seen worse ones for sure.
The one before this current one is much worse. πŸ₯²
Let's just stick to this one till there is a better one! 😁

ALL THE QI MIN YEARNERS, gather here with me, let our emotional turmoils peak together. One of the biggest reasons…
If we apply modern day psychology on Qimin, we can see that the traumas of his childhood were not addressed and treated. He was burned, watched his mother die in front of him, disfigured, mocked and had lifelong phantom pains and hallucinations. These were also compounded by the constant reminder to seek revenge as it is his duty as the legal crown prince and then getting drugged to give his handlers a son. They roofied him!! That is SA! 😨 There is no way a person can be close to "normal" after all of the above without intensive therapy and medication.

Qimin drew the short straw of the lot of them who lost their parents during the war 17 years ago. The rest of them at least had a proper childhood in a loving or normal environment. They were also healthy and none of his peers got SA-ed. I think these things need to be taken into consideration. QiMin also had no love and guidance of a family but was groomed as a tool. This is not an excuse for him to be brutal and careless with other people's lives but these events would definitely mess with a person's mind. πŸ₯²

I think YQQ felt mainly compassion and pity for him. She is a mum too. When she heard Qimin call for his mum in his sleep and asking to die, which mum will not feel for them? 😒And also YQQ realised that with some guidance, QM actually stopped killing people. It probably indicated that he just needed some guidance. QM actually learnt how to let go at the very end!😭 Imagine the improvements he would make if there was more time for them together. πŸ˜”

Agreed that the novel end was very cold for QM. 😭 I am glad the director did what they did for the poison soup scene. QM deserved something better than the novel ending. 😣

For the IF segment, though very bittersweet, I think that is the best outcome for Qimin. πŸ₯ΊNo more entanglement with YQQ. It was funny to see YQQ running after QM because in the other timeline, she was running away and QM was chasing her. 🀭 If they got together in this IF timeline, they might trigger another activation of karma, because living in the palace as QM's empress is taking away YQQ's freedom and locking her in a cage again. So this is the best outcome.

For the other CPs, we know they will have a HEA in whatever timeline they are in, but not for QM and YQQ. Thank you to the director for giving this tragic CP closure. Wishing love and joy to Qimin and Yu Qian Qian though they will never be together. πŸ₯Ή

I too bawled my eyes out for this very tragic CP in the last 2 episodes. 😭 😭 😭 😭 😭 😭 😭 😭 😭 😭

Qimin on the Madame Figaro Magazine cover like a boss! πŸ”₯πŸ”₯

Everyone is gorgeous in POJ, characters are complex, but the character who has gripped my eyeballs is definitely Qimin. πŸ‘€πŸ€©πŸ˜ Too bad they had to cut 2 important Qimin character development scenes. The YQQ bedroom fire rescue and visiting his parent's grave scenes would have given the character even more depth. Anyhow, cutting of scenes is part and parcel of making a drama and what it takes to make a 40 episode drama. Other character scenes got cut too. So .... πŸ€·πŸ»β€β™€οΈ

Lastly shout out to Deng Kai's on and off screen chemistry with Kong Xue Er. They SIZZLE!!! ❀️‍πŸ”₯

Yes, those people even followed him to the washroom! Luckily they stopped at the entrance and let him do his business…
I think his agency did not anticipate his massive increase in popularity overnight. After all, the guy has been very low key for the last 8 years playing villains or morally grey characters. QiMin was probably another of those villain roles they thought would just roll pass like the ones before.

The big stars have an entourage helping to break a path and buffer the celebrity and probably some security too. This level of popularity was totally unexpected for Deng Kai. But that is still not a reason to harass the poor guy. πŸ˜…

He was practically ignored for the past 8 years, and then overnight he gets this massive increase in fans. It must be very overwhelming for him. Plus the people who cannot tell the difference between actor and character might be there to torment him? It's tough. πŸ˜₯

It seems like some netizens think that DK deserves to be tormented like the above to show him one shouldn't force love. 😧 ERM...Peeps, this is Deng Kai the actor. He is not Qi Min the character. 🀨

Anyways, hopefully his agency will beef up his security soon.

You must be kidding. The notion that villains are just poor misunderstood babies is preposterous.
You must have misread. I said I almost wished they were normal. And my proposed solution is to send them for therapy.

There was no mention of the POJ villains being misunderstood. How you inferred that is puzzling.

This has to be one of the most heart wrenching episodes for me. πŸ₯²

SQY has his heart in the right place, but everything is so twisted with him and QM. I almost wished they were all normal. Maybe if all the villains went for therapy, they would actually be quite decent people and not die from their evil plans gone awry. πŸ˜“

MY THEORY ABOUT YU QIAN QIAN BACKGROUND this maybe a spoiler, but the main script doesn't talk about this and…
Based on the novel, Qian Qian is a modern day woman who transmigrated into the body of the original Qian Qian.

The drama gave hints that she was not of this world, when in one of the episodes she was lounging with her legs exposed and being nonchalant about it. Ladies did not show their legs casually in those days. In her painting she drew pandas. Pandas were not drawn in ancient times, people drew sceneries, bamboos and flowers. And of course the talk of cavities and her performing mouth to mouth and CPR.
