agree...I would also rated higher if the ending not such a disappointment. The ML deserve more.
It was a Happy Open Ending, but as it was quite emotional at the end, folks needed to see the Happy Ending itself which is to have TTJ be with his family. But it was not shown, rather it was inferred and that caused a lot of upset.

The drama was originally meant to be told in 56 episodes but unfortunately had to be slashed down to 40 episodes to meet new regulations. This unfortunately resulted in many scenes being cut which caused choppiness and confusion.
