I knew that The Heavenly Idol was a fantasy and the plot looked questionable but I wanted to watch it anyway because I enjoyed Kim Min-kyu's other dramas so much and wanted to see more. He did a great job with what he had to work with, as did most of the rest of the cast. The writing though, was atrocious. I was going to watch more because I wanted to hear the singing but I just got so annoyed with the demonic transformations and need for divine "power ups". I feel bad for the cast being stuck with this piece of trash script.
