Title Hidden Love
This drama kinda gives off Once Upon a Dream vibes. That one also had a so-called 'incestuous relationship'. I’m guessing they won’t be related here either. I’m intrigued already.

Yes this is a contradictory statement: I REALLY enjoyed this show, it was one of my favorites of the month, but…
I share those conflicting feelings. I really liked that old-fashioned drama and the lesser-known but talented lead actors. However, the dramatic plot twist at the end really irritated me.

Thank you. Maybe I’ll start watching it, although I’m not a fan of the lead actor. Still, I’ll try to get over it. And the ending remains unknown, as it’s still airing. I found some comfort after this series in Destiny. Nothing particularly new, but it’s enjoyable to watch.

Seriously? FL just had her kidney removed, ML had to fight off bad guys, the surgeon fled leaving the needle and…
"And as he was stitching her up — after she had already woken up from the anesthesia — a message appeared: 'Non-compliant actions, just for the plot. Don't imitate.'"😂

The story is the usual kind, but it's enjoyable to watch. The lead actors are charming. The only thing I didn't like were the baggy suits worn by ML over a bare chest — they looked tacky and unappealing to me.

I share this pain. Another tragic ending crushed me too (although at least we had a wedding this time). No comfort to be found anywhere...

Can someone tell me whether the ending is sad or happy?
All the episodes are available on TikTok, but without subtitles. The ending is clearly sad. It seems that the ML sacrifices himself to save the FL — unless the subtitles provide some additional information or context.

are there any other mini dramas that are as good as this in plot and acting? can someone recommend pls? doesn't…
In my opinion, just as good are: Grab Your Love, A Familiar Stranger, Money Is Coming.
Slightly weaker in terms of script and production, but still quite enjoyable to watch (at least for me): Butterflied Lover, Once Upon a Dream, Love Trap, A Flower on the Continent, Into Your Heart, Broken the Heart, Rainkissed Fate, Beauty Strategy.

I wasn't planning on starting another short drama but then I saw a clip and here I am. I've watched the first…
We still don't know for sure. I’m guessing that, because of the romance, it’ll turn out he’s not actually a eunuch. I think that the fact that he officially presents himself as a eunuch adds a certain spiciness to the romantic plot.

Actually, they are theoretically 'enemies' in both scenarios. Right now, he believes that her father killed his father. When he learns the truth about his birth, it will turn out that it was really his father who murdered her father.

I think ML’s father was the usurper-emperor who died in the first episode. ML was there when he died and dictated his will.

I feel the same way about the ML.
At the core, he’s a tragic figure — a hopeless romantic who chooses love, or rather a passionate obsession, and, as he admits himself, puts everything on the line. He becomes vulnerable and honest in front of the FL.
The female lead is written in such a way that the ML seems more like the victim — both of his own obsession and of the cunning FL. He knows he's obsessive and driven by intense emotions.
Everything he does is for her, and he’s ready to die for her. He’d probably even accept death at her hands with a kind of gratitude and quiet emotion. Również pozdrawiam!

Ep 17 ) I am still not sure if Fl has feelings for Ml, or not 🤔her self talks weren’t clear enough to me…
In my opinion, the female lead has a certain weakness for the male lead — she’s drawn to him, even pities him a little, and understands his twisted intentions. But she also believes they’re both doomed if they stay in their sinful relationship. That’s why she keeps choosing freedom and calmly plots her revenge on him. She weighs everything with a cool head — her feelings and doubts don’t cloud her judgment. Even the male lead’s mother, who fears and hates him, admits with a hint of admiration: “I underestimated you. You’re just as dangerous as my son.” Unless the mystery surrounding her origins shifts the dynamic of their romantic entanglement, we’re probably headed for a tragic ending for him — and a happy one for her.
This really is a strange case of a mini-drama. It’s neither a romance nor the story of a cruelly exploited woman and a repulsively depraved man. It’s probably best to see it as the heroine’s bizarre, perverse dream.
Still, I’ll shamelessly admit — I’m really enjoying it.

yep, they are blood siblings. Complete incest if the psycho forces her to marry him. Complete f.u. if the psycho…
The male lead has another sister, but it turns out she’s actually his half-sister. Her name is Pei Zi Qi, and she’s married. It seems her father is the mother’s long-time lover. The male and female leads are not biologically related.

LOLim sure after ep 15 we will see ml’s miraculous transformation into an angel 😇 🤣 and Fl reconsider…
The character of the FL is quite intriguing, especially her inner monologues. She's a self-aware protagonist who, so far, hasn't been intimidated or deceived by the ML’s passionate declarations of love. The dynamic between abuser and victim is portrayed rather well at this point. The FL has ambivalent feelings toward the ML, but she’s also bravely fighting against developing Stockholm syndrome.
Meanwhile, the ML, true to his role as a manipulative abuser, is not only cruel but also occasionally tender and caring. We’ll see whether the screenwriter chooses to romanticize this toxic bond or allows the victim to ultimately triumph over her tormentor and break free from the cage the ML has trapped her in.

"That doesn’t mean we’d want to date someone like that — or even bump into them — in real life."😂 Speak…
When you say "Many women often choose those guys even if they're not aware they're doing it. Many are drawn to those men and then complain about why they're treated poorly. Meanwhile, you have the nice guy waiting in the friend zone", you're generalizing too—just like I did earlier—and you're not only speaking for yourself.
I just draw a clear line between fiction and real life. What I expect from guys day to day is totally different from what I like in fictional characters. Toxic boys? Only on screen or in books. With this drama, I’m letting it pull me in—but just while I’m watching.
To conclude, dramas can influence how we perceive romantic relationships in both positive and negative ways. That's why it's important to keep reminding yourself that this isn't real life—to stay safe.

Yes, this is something for fans of the genre. We know exactly what we’re getting, and we don’t want it to be anything else. The standard ingredients of this kind of drama are all here: forbidden love and dark desires (in this case, there’s erotic tension between “siblings”); elaborate torture scenes (like our FL being whipped with thorny roses by a princess insanely jealous over the ML); a game of appearances (who’s really in control, and who’s just pretending?); a play on imagination; and characters with the kind of strength we, the viewers, lack. This is no heartwarming tale—and it’s not meant to be taken too seriously, either. So far, it’s pretty good—at least for me.
