They keep saying (or is it a bad translation?) that the movie is The great escape but it's La grande vadrouille "the great stroll", a french/uk comedy. Not the same genre at all.

I haven't finish it yet but in my opinion it got better after the first few episodes. It's not a masterpiece but it's fun and their chemistry and relationship is good.
