Episode 2 was so much better! Although this drama is not perfect, it's quite addictive so far and the chemistry between the 2 main leads (and both with Zhen Zhen) is strong. And Fan Xiao is really handsome.
This intro is a whole drama in itself lol. I'm 11 minutes in episode 1. I can't tell for now if it's good but the budget for the make-up must be very high. Shu Lang's face is so white with powder π―. It's a pity.
Honestly I was sad when I found out about subbing, I understand why it is but then why not subtitles in th end…
Tian has a accent and doesn't have the standard one. So it won't work. And maybe some actors don't want or don't have time to do the dubbing. Because sometimes famous actors don't dub themselves in some dramas and they do on others.
don't want to spoil hehe π you need to watch until ep 6, it will be explained then
In episode 1 when he sees his dad, his dad says that CC needs to stop messing around and work for his company if he wants to see his snakes. So it's the dad that stole his snakes.
Episode 28 impressed me. The choreography of fights and war scenes are so good, as well as the music that is used, it's the first time in a drama when I feel I'm in the heart of the battle and feel the fear of the soldiers or civilians.
I just recently started and episode 1 also hooked me. I, unfortunately, read through the comments before watching.…
When there were only 4 episodes aired, some people had already rated ALL the episodes 1/10. Even now, if you watch the episode guide, the last episodes are already rated 4 or 5. Ridiculous. I've seen 26 episodes so far and it's still very good to me π

If you watch the BTS of any Chinese drama you'll see it's a mess with staff everywhere and a lot of noise (on set and often on sets just besides). I also think that in China they don't put money in good sound gear. So even if it wasn't for the accents, they have to dub it.
Does it get better after ep 11? I donβt want to tarnish an already perfect 11 ep BL β¦
It take another turn and vibe after episode 14, it will get more angsty. Personally I loved it until the end and I liked that it turned into a more "serious" drama in the second half.
After 21 episodes I still think that the actors are well fit for this drama and I love the characters. ChuYu is meant to be a bit cold, distant and with a stoic personality. She has been raised fighting around guys and living in rough conditions. Seeing war and blood and deaths. She is tough and she's also guarded because of her first love betrayal. She trusts her brother and that's it. I can also believe that this life style make her look older and more mature than she really is (character not actress). It's much more realistic than a "great female general" playing the cute girl like in another drama where nobody had a problem with that... Double standard. I do feel the chemistry, they're adorable when they look at eachother. I don't need a kiss to say there is chemistry and I don't need to be first sight love either. I just think that it's really unfair when older actresses are judged like that and when people nitpick. I'm only at the middle of this drama but I was hooked from episode 1 and I'm still interested and entertained. Side characters are also interesting and her brother is very handsome π. I love the fight scenes and the costumes.
Same. I just started watching it and I've done 2 episodes. It's kinda confusing to me right now. I don't understand…
I haven't finished episode 2 but apparently it's not explained. I've seen a comment saying that in the book he took Mo yuan xu's body so he didn't have to wear a mask. Who knows lol π€£
