In my opinion (I haven't read the book so it's based on the drama), CC and WS's relationship was not so good. They were fighting a lot. And CC was not that happy. We saw that WS told them to kiss when they were drunk, as a game. So they did and they found it funny. Probably that Guo filled a gap in CC'd heart. That WS didn't fill. It was a sort of friendship but with affection.

11 episodes in and I'm still enjoying this drama very much❤️. No boring moment. Everything happens quickly and I love the dynamics between the characters. Zhuge's wig though. The one with the braids. What is this? It looks like it weights 3 kilos and that he has too much hair. I just can't concentrate. The first wig was better 😅

In my opinion, he gambled his relationship. He wanted to show CC what he had done because of the guilt. And he showed CC than WS didn't sleep with Guo. He tried to provoke him by saying he doesn't love him because he wants CC to fight for him and get angry to clear his sin. He said a few episodes ago, to WS, that he wants CC to have closure. And now CC has to make a choice and admit if he still love WS or if it's all the past. WSW doesn't know it yet but it worked and CC was able to cut ties with WS. So I think it was his plan. So today they can part ways or begins again on healthy ground.
