I agree that its not a policy, he probably does it for respect to his family and this doesnt make him a bad actor BUT as someone who read the book, yes, I wish I could watch some kisses and hugs bc in the book ZSC really open up to her by being intimate w her... he doesnt even say he loves her in the book bc he a man of actions. So I'm not disappointed bc the leads are great but I'll miss the kisses ye. I understand readers frustration even if I dont think this is a reason to give the drama poor ratings.

From reading the book, the crown prince is a tortured man... he get p jealous and envy ZSC too much. He like had a traumatizing childhood and he waited for shi yi to enter his life and be the only thing he could ever possibly have in his life for like 7 years. He even talk to dead ZSC that since hes sick and poisoned since hes a kid he's only gonna live for 10 more years and when he died ZSC could have a shi yi. P tricky the crown prince character.

ZSC was treated as a traitor in the book too :v but ye² Cui family helped the Crown Prince trap ZSC... I read the book but havemt watched the drama yet so idk exactly what happened in the drama...

Hopefully but sometimes I think we minority here. Probably we'll get camera angles or close ups that we cant really know if it's really him (crow lizard kiss for example)... but the way I've seen ppl hating dramas simply bc they dont get the message is v sad... and this story is so beautiful;-; I'll be sad if it gets bad ratings bc ppl expectation are not met;-; Also the leads are such good actors, I'm expecting this drama to be heaven even if they dont kiss;-;
