This drama is a lowkey commercial hit in terms of TV-ratings. The Wednesday-Thursday late night live broadcasts get between 3.5%-3.7% in viewership ratings, whilst the re-runs on Friday get 2.5%. Were this drama at a better time slot (for example, weekend late at night), this drama would easily get 7%+ in ratings. You know that TVN fucked up the programming if the re-runs are almost as popular as the live broadcasting...

Title Alice
When he refused to go with her to get another drink, I knew something bad was going to happen to his mom.. :(…
Yeah, it is his mother... It is about parallel universes and time travelling again I presume (The King Eternal Monarch ahum ahum). His mother is from the future and does not know him yet. By meeting her, he will alter history and probably never be born. What I personally think is that the flying saucer eliminates all the agents of Alice that went rogue and stayed in the past.

To be fair, he has become less funny in the latest episodes. However, he definitely adds something to the story. Without him it would be basically one big marriage problem and no suspense. With him, there is a bit of angst.

Yes, unless people turn a blind eye.

But do you really believe in a world where cops adhere to this principle of "innocent until proven". Yes, they adhere to it whenever they have no evidence at all. But whenever they have circumstantial evidence, they will try their best to pin it to the person by finding more evidence or get a confession. No cop will live with the mentality: "All the circumstantial evidence points towards him, but we should be clearheaded and take into account that he was framed". That is why I said the cop's behavior is explainable. I have never said he was right.

With all three previous cases his "wrong" behavior were actually good hunches. There was definitely something fishy with all three. But he needs someone such as CJW around him to keep him in check, but CJW needs someone like him to "pull the trigger".

Actually they are quite fast. The unofficial subbers from Kissasian and Dramacool have the subs 5hrs after airing.…
I think you are responding to me, but I am not a newbie.

Much respect for the amateur subbers, but except for doramas and Viki, all the subs are done by professionals on those illegal websites. Do you really think that dramas such as IONTBO, Stranger 2 or Backstreet Rookie can already be subbed one hour after airing on TV on those illegal websites? - No, they take them from a website called Subscene, who rip it from the official streaming platforms.

These professionals have come a long way. Compare for example the Netflix-translation of Stranger season 1. They did a lousy job there with no respect for culture. They improved massively for Season 2.

You might live in an idealistic world thinking that there is still a concerted effort of fans subbing kdramas, but they do not. All the dramas we watch on those illegal platforms are directly ripped from the professional websites. The only real subbers are active on platforms such as Viki, but these are nowadays so slow that people already watched it via the illegal resources. Doramas etc. are a different kind of animal. Those are really translated by volunteers.

Interesting that DHS told BHS' dad that he thinks he is the same as him. Can we take this conversation at face-value? Did DHS really mean that BHS' dad is as goal-oriented as he is? Or does he mean that BHS' dad does not have emotions?

On another note, how are we so certain that the accomplice was at the funeral? We can assume that the real BHS was at the funeral due to the short nails, but does that make him the culprit? Was it somewhere mentioned that he is the culprit? The only connection so far is the fish chain, but perhaps BHS got it from his dad as a gift?

His behavior is explainable though. The murder of the village foreman had DHS all written over it, because he took the blame for his sister and manipulated the evidence. Without the witness testimony of his sister, DHS would be found guilty by every judicial system in the world.

To frame him I guess. Imagine if DHS did not alert the cops? How would it look? It would look as if DHS went to buy some raw material like his dad did. But luckily DHS alerted the cops in advance, so he has an "alibi"

HS might have tried to commit suicide like DHS' dad, but his attempt failed and he became half-paralized because of that. Happens sometimes whenever people are out of air for a long time. They basically turn into a vegetable.

They are definitely not quicker than the official sources. They are only quicker than Viki, not VIU or IQiyi. IQiyi and Netflix have subtitles upon release, VIU has a delay of 5 hours and VIKI a day or two.

There is a specific website where they take the subs from. Whenever this website has the subtitles online, it will take about 30 min and these illegal platforms will upload the subtitles on their websites as well. But whenever you go the subtitle website, you will see files with names such as "VIU Episode 1 Drama Name ENG-KR RIP".

That is when I realized the illegal platforms are just ripping the subtitles. I once also thought that there were fans subbing these dramas, but it is one big lie. That is why for example J-dramas take so long to get translated... Those are really translated by fans and contain sometimes huge translation errors. With K-dramas the subtitles are mostly accurate and quick, so that requires a certain professional effort or a concerted effort from multiple volunteers.

Also, it becomes obvious whenever the subtitle-timing is incorrect. The reason is because TVN etc. have breaks, whilst VIU does not. So the translation sometimes does not correspond to the dialogue whenever the cutting is not done right. Other times they straight up admit it. I have seen multiple times "Subtitles ripped by XXX" appear in the subtitles on those websites.

Anyways, does not really matter... But I just want to tell you that you should not give them too much credit ;-)

Ji Won is one of the best female characters I've seen. I love the way she's handled things. And, it helps that…
I need to correct you on that one: "Ji Won is one of the TWO best female characters I've seen". The other one is the sister, who tried to protect her brother from harassment and therefore made a mistake. But she is clearly willing to sacrifice her own happiness to protect her brother's. This show is just different. Normally, the male lead protects the female lead, but here the two female leads are protecting the male lead.

You know that these are not unofficial subbers right? They just rip it from VIU/IQiyi, who have professionals doing it for them. For Netflix programs, they just rip it from Netflix.

I do not even understand why Viki is having volunteers, when VIU, IQiyi have the same programs and have professionals doing it. I also wonder how they are checking whether these volunteers are actually translating the stuff themselves and not ripping the translations straight from VIU or IQiyi and change some of the wording.

Why do the good dramas always have a low rating and the dumb dramas have a high rating... Koreans really do not…
The ratings are high... This drama is broadcast on a weekday at 11pm. The fact that it can get almost 4% means a lot.
