https://blwatcher.com/bl-series/to-my-star-2-drama-review/I'm so glad that these reviewers saw the show and Ji…
I'm all for difference of opinions but I think you have to come to terms with the fact that not everyone is going to have the same opinion as you. Not everyone is going to love TMS or Ji Woo, nor sing its praises nor fawn over the two boys as much as many do. You don't HAVE to comment or defend Ji Woo each time someone criticizes the series or has problems with his character because let's face it, nobody is going to change their minds no matter what you say. The beauty of media is that it invites deep discussion and it is interesting to see varying forms of thoughts whether it's positive or negative. If you could not take the differing views and insist on imposing your own views about characters onto other people, then you'll just go around circles endlessly.

I just don’t know why people don’t understand that this series was poorly written. Before you start attacking…
Fantastic write up on the technical and screenplay aspect, and why people rate the series lower when they are not influenced by their emotions.

one thing I noticed in the comment section is that a lot of people who are liking the show (like me) are giving…
I’m married to an introvert who watched the show with me and he said to never accept him back if he does a thing like this to me.

I’m talking about ghosting for a year after a break up note done on my birthday. Letting me freeze outside in my van because you don’t have the decency to at least invite me into your home for warmth. Cut my heart with your abusive words and talk about being friends with benefits. And when all is said and done, you come chasing after me crying and blubbering about you being scared and wanting a hug. I’m talking about you never apologizing for everything you’ve put me through. It was all about you.

Idealistic? No, it was the opposite. The friends and bystanders who tell me ‘you don’t understand him at all, that’s just how he is’ - should you keep them around? But I digress … you cannot say TMS is all about character reflection and reality and tell me in the same breath it is healthy for people to accept all this as ‘love’ and berate me for taking things too seriously.

That’s why people have polarizing opinions about s2. Not everyone will come to see it as Ji Woo’s characterization, they will see it as character assasination and you shouldn’t force them to see him through your eyes as well. For some people, the things he does to SJ hit too close to home.
I was ready for To my Star 2 to dethrone my #1 favourite, Semantic Error. I was encouraged by the good reviews. TMS had a special place in my heart that SE took over, but when I heard S2 was coming out, I was ready for TMS to reclaim its throne.

I could not be more wrong. Not only did I dislike season 2, I could not enjoy season 1 anymore. Bummer. It was like it didn’t know what it wanted to be: a realistic character exploration? (What exploration? I only see pain, pain and more pain.) or all that only to end with fluff? You don’t go all out to hurt someone for 8 episodes only to erase it away in the last 2.

And also how creepy stalkers are... Also, there is no consent involved with that head pat. It was more like a…
Nope, JY was absolutely awake lol. In fact, he wanted to tease Sang Woo the closer SW got to him, but what he didn't expect was SW to kiss him and he went O_O. And it kinda all snowballed from there and you'll see this next episode with SW mentally breaking down as he realized he just did something he never thought himself to do in a billion years.

I can't understand how people can find the kiss at episode 6 cute or along those lines. Sangwoo kissed jaechan,…
The scene was all about Sang Woo being so enthralled by Jae Young - the whole time, he didn’t know what these feelings were. So when he kissed him, only to realize what he had done, he quickly ran out and mentally collapsed because he never imagined he is possible of doing such a thing, and it didn’t make sense.

This is why we have the title: Semantic Error. Consent? Sexual Harrassment? The guy, with all his absence of EQ, who completely is devoid of anything feelings, is about to have a meltdown because of the kiss next ep.

So while I see your point about consent, I think we can cut SW some slack:

To quote the novel on this scene: “His reason, conscience, self-control, judgment, and humanity, which he had maintained for 25 years without any issues, seemed to have collectively collapsed.”

Plus, JY was actually pretending to be asleep, watching SW to see what he would do.

Oh yes! I have an inkling of where they’ll cut off, but just enjoy the ride and heads up for iconic scenes between them (if you can’t tell by now, I’m absolutely heads over heels in love with the book lol) aksjdlskdj;

Don’t worry, the stalker bit actually does pave way for Sang Woo to fall for him because for a character like this, you need something as drastic as this plot device to force the gates open really. The ‘stalker’ bits that may seem unsettling at first, but it really is such a small part of the overall story (like maybe 10%) and ended up leading to one of the most tender, amazing BL lovelines, there’s a reason why it’s ranked one of the highest in Korea, also because of Jae Young in particular, for trying his best to be understanding and patient while riding the storm of falling for someone like Sang Woo , and vice versa.

Edit: As for apologizing about the stalker thing, it’s been a long time since I read the novel, but I believe JY will talk about it and formally distance himself away, although by this point, both of them just want to spend time with each other more than stalking really. This is as much as I can spoil without going too deep.

I'm just going to put this here. You know what to do. https://help.netflix.com/en/titlerequestImmortality-皓衣行…
Let’s put in our requests for HYX. If it’s not showing in China, then let us international viewers get the full uncensored series in all its glory (prays)
