I tried watching this drama when it originally aired in 2016. Viki had the drama at the time, but was extremely slow with subtitles. If I recall, the first three episodes or so had subtitles, but that was it. Now, it's not on there and I really would like to watch this drama again, because it had some really funny moments. Help!

I feel like I wasn't ready for just how good this drama is. I have seen other dramas billed as "revenge dramas", but by the end of the first episode, you are boiling and ready to see these jerks go down. SHK has been fantastic and so has the rest of the cast. The story line is moving very fast and I am just sick that we have to wait until March to get the rest. I am looking forward to sweet sweet revenge.

I'm just watching this on the side, and I'm low-key more interested in the farmer/director couple than the main…
I think we all are, they are just to pure and adorable.

So far, this drama has been knocked out of the park. There are no weak links, no weak story lines, no weak actors, I mean just applause to everyone because they are pulling off this paranormal drama with the charisma of a carefully crafted plan. I got sucked in within the first five minutes. My goodness and MY's fashion. I want to screen shot everything she has worn thus far. I have a feeling this is going to be one of those dramas that will be at the top of the TOP SHOWS list on here even 10 years from now.

I am loving this drama. Outside of the fact that two of my faves are playing the leads, all of the actors compliment one another and there is good chemistry. The slow pace is what makes each revelation or event that more appreciated. Also, because this takes place in a small country town, it has to be slower. Everything can't be fast paced like Seoul. I saw another comment re: SB's disposition and how he seems depressed just like HW. Honestly, I got the impression from the flashbacks that he has always been one of those people that folks could easily take for granted. He is among everyone, but he doesn't stand out. He gets along with anyone, but he doesn't have anyone special. Even the other guy who is a part of the book club and works in their city government, they seem cool but not close. He is a very sincere yet almost invisible soul. This is why he has the blog. This is why he likes reading books. This is why he likes going into the mountains. He is lonely, despite the caring family and the cool friends. Honestly, that is how depression works. You can be around people all of the time and be lonely and depressed. I also get the impression that he isn't impressed or moved by a lot of things. Which is why his interest in HW is so intriguing. She is a LOT like him. When she came to the town in high school, because of her tragedy, she just wanted to fit in. Being invisible was a comfort to her because at least no one knew about her tragedy, until she opened up to someone. So, I am looking forward to the writer showing us all of the ways the leads heal one another.

Not her, but the writer to be precise. I've never seen any love triangle being dragged for this long, it's insane.…
OMS has done his part as an actor. When the writer saw how strong he was and how the viewers started favoring him, she should have softened SA, which to a degree she did. But SA holding on to her angst about his mother does feel drawn out. Just don’t live with her.

Ok, can someone tell me what is going on? S1 ended with them being all happily together and she was PREGNANT...so…
Season 2 is basically a different version of the same drama. I think viewers overall loved the first season, but hated the whole pretending she was going to die trope.

This drama screams frustrating to the max! I watched it mostly because Eric, Kim Seulgi and Do Joon Ho gave such riveting performances. However, I came to realize that I do not like the lead actress and she tends to play these very frustrating FL roles where her character borderlines on being pitied and/or hated. I don't know if it is the characters she portrays or herself, but it is incredibly hard to root for her. Yes, this was a realistic portrayal of relationships, but there were also times where both leads made things unnecessarily worse for themselves. I wouldn't and haven't watched this again, but one good watch is not a bad idea. You will enjoy the side characters the most.

I love the comments on this thread. This was the first drama that made me buy an OST. The recurring OST in this drama, Remember by Oh Hyun Ran is incredible! It really does carry the drama, much like That Woman carried Secret Garden. The acting and chemistry is superb. Yes, there are some really frustrating moments, but the reward far outweighs that. Yes, the ending is a surprise, but what a ride!

I don't know what it is about this drama, but as intense as it is, I can't stop watching it. Even when I am done watching an episode, it stays on my mind longer after. The characters, the story, the pace of it is just addictive. I desperately want the OTP to find healing and love with each other because they don't really have anyone else. I may be in the minority, but when MY died, I was not sad because of how things ended between he and CY. I was sad because LK lost his best friend and the only person who had his back in the world. I actually liked that CY left him because he was a good guy who deserved to be with someone who felt the same way about him. He just was stubborn about her, since he knew she didn't feel the same way about him. LK's family is the worst. However, their decision to get rid of him by sending him to the Hospice Center is a blessing in disguise. He gets to completely heal, and become a better physician by taking care of patients who have no hope left and are just grateful for any reasonable care. What a topic to delve into. I am looking forward to more of this story and our leads connecting.

I LOVE this drama right now. For some reason, a lot of dramas on right now are in the melo genre with good story lines, but sad undertones. I love that his drama is light and just so damn funny!

I think the biggest problem people are having with the drama is what the hell happened. How did they end up frozen for 20 years??? I don't want to see anymore scenes of him and his ex. I don't want to keep seeing her ex obsess over her, I want to know what happened to them. I want the doctor to regain his memory so we can move this plot forward.

I think we should give this one a chance guys. Yes, there was some slapstick moments, but just like someone else pointed out, it was more so a tool to show the difference between the 90's and now. Although the scene with her brother waiting and blowing that whistle almost killed me. I think the writers are on to something. With scientific experiments and artificial intelligence becoming more commonplace, I like how we are starting to see how this can affect an entire family. Both of their families were emotionally ruined because of this. Comedy or not, I felt the pressure the FL lead had to take care of her family because of her brother's disability. Even with JCW's role, he seemed to carry an immense amount of pressure to be taken seriously as a director that could do something groundbreaking and not just the see how far we can take it variety show. I really hope the writers explore how much the world has changed in the past 20 years. It will be interesting to see how they acclimate back into society with all of this new technology.

Title I Need Romance Season 2 Spoiler
If you hate getting second lead syndrome, do not watch this drama or the first installment. You will have it to the point of hating the main female lead. I was sooooo angry at myself for watching this drama and getting emotionally invested in it. Much like the Reply series, the female lead will make a LOT of dumb decisions including who she ends up with. It is the same premise of the first, the leads break up, we go down memory lane as to why, and you clearly see that while things were great between them at one point, that is no longer the case. People grow and can often grow apart from their significant others. That happened here. She met someone else, who loved her as she was. He didn't hurt her and always considered her feelings, and she wasted his time and chose misery. Thankfully, the third installment was not like this. It is the only one worth watching.

I am pleasantly surprised at a lot of the comments for this drama. For the longest time, everyone seemed to act like this drama was so great and untouchable and I was just NOT apart of that group. You know a drama is bad when you start rooting for the antagonists. The rival and his father made this drama in my opinion. The female lead's character was one of the worst k-drama female leads ever written. It was appalling how weak and stupid she was the entire drama. I get that she grew up without a mother, but some of the things that she did not know as a woman made this almost unwatchable. The lead actress, Son Ye Jin had weird chemistry with Lee Min Ho, and they just weren't believable as a couple. There are way too many misunderstandings and awkward moments. Save this one for when there is just nothing else on.
