I finally saw the final episode and damn I felt so emotional. At one point I wanted to give Takamori Taiga a hug. It was a great adventure. I'm glad I found this gem. I hope it's rating increase because 7.9 is not justified.
If you want majorrrr spoilers from the novel for their story, I've put them all in my next comment!
I don't know how it's cliche? But even if it is, that just makes Gao Tu more relatable than anything else. And if you can relate to a character, you will obviously love them more. I guess I should have low expectations for the final 3 episodes. But even if I was reading this novel, I think it would have been a torture for me since he's my favourite character.

I don't think they can cover all this in 3 episodes or they can but really badly. So basically you're telling me, Gao Tu will suffer till the very end? Why did the author hate Gao Tu so much? π
Hua Yong is a yandere character and with them, there is no rhyme or reason, but he is not insane. To HY, ripping…
Yeah I figured these types are more common in anime, manga, web novels, etc. I don't consume such media and even in dramas and movies, I tend to prefer green flag characters majority of the time.
I'm confused did knight r@pe mild or not ?? cause in the brothers version he did but in HIS version he just almost…
That's the problem. Why does Mild remember being raped too if he was only kissed by Knight? But the show wants you to believe Knight's version. TBH it messed with my head to just move on from the flashback scene. Knight's explanation was weak for me.

Yes, I suppose insane wasn't the appropriate word. It's just the disconnection that is happening with the story-telling because of lack of certain details that give me that impression. I just looked into the definition of yandere. This does help me understand his character better. Though I don't recall seeing such characters in dramas or at least not in a romantic setting I guess so it is a struggle to accept. I appreciate the explanation. π
It didn't go into details but it was said he got crippled , so I assume he broke or cut one of his arms , I think…
I feel that there is so much nuance to this story in the novel that just isn't translating well in the drama. I could understand that the brothers dynamic wasn't great but when they leave so much out, it becomes so hard to empathise with Hua Yong. It is sort of a disservice to the character.
Disclosure: I don't like Hua Yong (now those who do can skip this post)
Ep13: The depictions of Hua Yong get stranger even when trying to give him a sad back story. He comes across as an obsessed stalker which is the least worst thing about him atp. But as others said, if he wasn't attractive or playing the ML, most wouldn't like him and this would be a thriller rather than a romance drama.
Regarding his brother, he deserved a beating for instigating him and tearing up the photo but why was there so much blood? Were they suggesting he cut off his brother's arm/hand? And Hua Yong taping it together with his brother's blood all over the painting (or was it a photo) just makes Hua Yong look even crazier. π€·ββοΈ
I feel like the blood was unnecessary. Him putting the picture together would have been more sentimental. The blood makes it look like his brother was dead since we never saw the brother's condition. And even if he only seriously injured his brother, wouldn't he have gotten in trouble with the law for it?
Even when I'm supposed to sympathise with Hua Yong, he is depicted as insane. Yet I get called a hater when this is the way he is written. π Anyway, I just want to know what happened to the brother.
You made the right choice, much better than those who come here every day to bash the show and throw their nonsense…
Yes since we invested time in it so we have the right to criticise a show unlike those who make personal comments because they can't agree to disagree. You lot are no different than that haters of actors. You only see actors as humans but it's okay to bully viewers for even the most tiniest of criticism.

Well some people actually hate rape tropes while others love it and make excuses for it and sly comments against anyone speaking out against romanticising rape just because they are obsessed with the actors physical appearance.
dropped at 12. So much bad acting and writing that it kept getting boring and boring no matter how long I gave…
Haha yeah I noticed this too. Why did they stop talking? The direction is quite amateurish and it shows in all these little ways and ends up looking unnatural.
I think the reason on why he doesn't hire a private investigator is because he don't want to intrude on Gao Tu's…
He's dropped by himself multiple times. That was also him intruding. He made so many horrible comments on Gao Tu and his omega. I'd say he's already crossed several lines. Hiring a PI would be less offensive than the way he talks at this point.
Glad this is finally over. I would have dropped if I weren't watching on-going. Per's proposal prank was so annoying that I wanted to beat him up. What a note to end things on.
I feel like a lot of the dialogues in this show were a let down.
