Right! Even Revenged Love has changed things from the original novel. Reduced some of the toxicity and eliminated some aspects that were crossing limits. It's okay to expect an adaptation to change things. In any case, I haven't read the original source material of ABO Desire so I am simply reacting to how the show is currently progressing and what I would like to see. Don't think it should be so much of a problem.
