This drama is awesome because there is no waiting for the story to progress. The only wait that is killing us is the time is takes for subs to be posted. :P Only ep 30 left now.
Ep 28: Bro just wanted to take off his shirt and hug the FL. He could have just used an ice pack instead of running back and forth to lay in the snow bareback but nah.
I still think about her. How many more victims have just had their cases buried forever because the culprits were far too powerful? Even after her case was publicized, nothing happened to a single perpetrator. Is there a source/link that named the people that harmed her?
He is a rapist, he will always be. He is a disgusting human being, if someone doesn't deserve to live it would…
I checked your link and in the first trial he only denied not taking pictures himself but he distributed the pictures/videos in the group chats. So that explains why victims wouldn't know of his involvement. And if you read the chats, you can see what kind of language he uses. In the court proceedings also they mention that Seungri was in the chat and he mentioned "good-giving girls" in the context of the prostitution charges. They took also women to his residence. Seungri's best friend 'Mr A' is involved in providing a prostitute to a Japanese group. What kind of people was he associating with? It's likely that he knew what kind of people they were but he still maintained connections and was in chat groups with them and from screen shots it's apparent that he used to joke around and have vulgar conversations regarding women. It's no surprise he was also spreading images and videos of women taken without consent when he is associating with such people. For every translation that I have read up until 5th hearing, I can see biased language and "parts omitted". You should play devil's advocate and think why this person was talking in such a language in his chats? Naturally he will act all innocent and deny knowledge in the court of law to avoid charges. But in the chats with his friends he was being his real self.
Why does he get to have a career and people like Lee Sun Kyun and Yoo Ah In get their image tarnished and lose work? Why is South Korea so toxic when it comes to dealing with abusers and rapists? A talented young actress - Jang Ja Yeon, took her life after naming several of her rapists and nothing happened to them. So much injustice in this world.
After reading reports of Lee Sun Kyun's passing, I hope Yoo Ah In stays safe and gets help since his name is also being tarnished and it can't be okay for his mental health. I hope he is able to come back stronger from all this. We all need to have more empathy.
A talented actor lost because of a cruel society. People don't have empathy for the living. Even *IF* someone was using/abusing drugs, they were probably already dealing with a lot in their life and having difficulties which made them turn to weed and such. Instead of supporting them, you vilify them further until they take their lives. Then you wish them peace? Why don't we allow them to find peace while they are alive. Find ways for them to recover through support instead of shaming them. Meanwhile several rapists in SK are enjoying working in projects regularly. No one is hounding them even after they harmed others. Make it make sense!
I enjoyed season 2 more than season 1. Though the cases in season 1 the cases were interesting, there was real build up of tension in season 2 with each episode and there was the introduction of a proper rival which was cool.
I don't think this movie belongs in the Comedy genre. Though it has some light moments, most of the movie deals with school bullying and violence which is quite sad and upsetting. It has a compelling story with good action sequences especially towards the end. So if you're looking for something on the lighter side, you might be disappointed.
