Going through the same emotions. Does it get better?
I see you rated it an 8 so you did like it? I keep trying to put off watching this show because it feels like it might be tragic. Even though it has 2 heroes, I'm getting too many bad vibes. Doesn't feel like the regular, taking down of the bad guy. On top of it, there seems to be sexual assault in the picture which is also making me uncomfortable. Maybe I just picked the wrong time to watch this.
Please spoiler me! I am on beginning of ep4 (14m) and Gong Zi Yu seems kind of stupid, is he still playing pretend…
I'm only in ep 12 (beginning) but he has both mommy and daddy issues which is why he is the way he is. He is slowly discovering what his parents were like and dealing with them. I don't think he is stupid though. More like thrown into a position of responsibility that he never wanted in the first place and trying to live up to the expectations despite being clueless. Change will probably be gradual but he has several mentors.
I've watched 11 episodes and I have a question about Gong Shang Jue and his younger brother.
How are they related to Gong ZiYu? Same father different mothers? Or different fathers and mothers? Because ZiYu's mother was pregnant with him and at the same time Lady Yin (?) was pregnant with ShangJue's younger brother. Does that mean ML and the younger brother are nearly the same age? If so, how did the ML qualify to be the Sword Wielder? Or am I missing something?
Please don't give spoilers of the rest of the series.
I accidentally rated the show 8.5 instead of 9.5 (changed it now) and no one commented to complain. I've been asked (sometimes angrily) to change my ratings on other shows. lol. You don't need to sell a good show.
Thank you. I should have just kept watching the episode because they talk about it. I just felt lost when I saw the scene and thought I was suffering from early onset dementia. lol.
I took a gap between ep 2 and in ep 3 the father/original sword wielder and one other person (family member?) are dead. Did I miss the attack or will they show it later?

Normally I am into dark thrillers. I've seen King Of Pigs and that's far darker. The bullying in The Glory was also worse. There've been other dramas that have depicted cults. But I am not especially enjoying the depressing mood of Save Me. I've completed the first 3 episodes. What episode have you reached in this rewatch? I feel like maybe I need to discuss it or something to get through the uneasy feeling I have.
I was a bit taken aback when a sex scene in ep 4 popped up out of nowhere and I was watching with family. Not sure if this makes it worse but I was watching in 2x. LMAO.
The first episode was... violent. It's interesting but I might have to pair this with something lighter. I will watch this for Wi Ha Joon since he picks decent projects.
The opening scene itself is quite violent. Gang members wielding knifes and sticks and blood spurting everywhere. Also scenes of people falling over from heights. This is just the first episode.
Please don't give spoilers of the rest of the series.
No nudity though. Just FYI.
