Korean is a lot more expressive (love the exasperation and emotional residence that's adding just by elongating and grounding out syllables), that's probably why you feel it's more expressive-- because it is simply by the cultural difference in how they express their language. I feel like Chinese drama's use more word-play (there's a reason why most of our idioms are actually Chinese in origin), which is lost in translation, unfortunately (unless you get one of those God-Mode translators who adds translation notes-- you can find dedicated fansubbing that will do this for viewers, I'd look for those.) (: Once you do get used to each language it really adds a flavor to the drama outside of just the setting and genre, which is really nice. Japanese is just, well, it's just beautiful as it is.
