I'm only on ep 6, but why is this so enjoyable? I'm not done, but so far this on par with low budget (not meaning bad, just lower budget) KDrama. One of the best TDramas I've come across. Palatable and enough squirming to make you snort, laugh, or make other embarrassing noises for the FL. It's cringe and tropes at its best.
The girl is so fucking gutsy, lmao. I hope they release the rest of this drama -- I hope it maintains the pace,…
First 5 episodes are on Youtube with worse and worse translations. By episode 6 the translation is so mistimed it's impossible to watch unless you're x-lingual. Shoutout to those that did their best, tho.
I really liked BFX's expression for FLX's lame love story π π π π π π π π I hate those one scene…
Each culture has its own nauseating tropes. But they'll keep being written in until the majority no longer likes'm. Childhood love represents purity and chastity, so the trope going away? Not any time soon when there's a narrative moral to exploit and use. Asian art in general is rife with symbolism and iconography, if you can continue to watch it through that lens its a bit less grating on the nerves. gl
Is this FL another lame Jin Mi (AOL), whatβs this with Chinese drama loving an innocent, lame, naive FL who…
Because many of these shows are aired at a time where the family is all watching television, Gotta have the characters approved for airing, the wider audience net they can get willing to watch (and allow children to watch) means more money. Which is why its so appreciative when you do get well written FL's that are truly intelligent, and not spoon-fed everything.
this is very weird , only real person in this serie is prince dowon, who is not actually real in this serie ,…
It's Asian Drama, esp when it's SK, you gotta just soak your brain in pure-grade alcohol and just go with the ride. "Historical" genre tag is only a setting and theme, you will rarely find authentic historical adapted stories. Not even the UK's is anywhere near faithful, but they're closer. Go watch The Last Kingdom or something if you want something at least minutely near anything historical. -From someone who actually enjoys wasting their time on archeological docs. Just mind-wipe and watch, you can enjoy if you allow yourself to. GL
Why the hell did Netflix only purchase the rights to half the episodes? Bit livid here. Why bother with the licensure? Prime Video has pulled this same stunt a few times. Breaking my trust, y'all.
