So Young, all she did was to love the king. But the king never returned it because of deceitful Hwa Jin. So she gave up on her self.

They needed each others qualities to survive.

And to me it never really felt like Bong Hwan loved the king.

What made him love the king was So Young. She took control of his feelings.
