Actually, there were several queens in ep 1.
- Queen Inyoung (Lee Tae's mother)
- Queen Yoon (Lee Tae's first wife, whom he was forced to marry to be king)
- Queen Dowager Choi Ga-Yeon (who technically was queen for a period when she married Lee Tae's father after Queen Inyoung died, but became Queen Dowager upon the accent of Lee Tae. This is so far not explained, but that is how the rules go if I am not mistaken)

Yoo Jung never made it to the position of queen, but I guess that is one of the points in the story.

Interestingly, if it is the case that Song Joong Ki and Kim Ji Won have turned down the offer to reprise their roles, then the production company has no choice but to find replacement actors. I am confident in Lee Joon Gi's acting skills. But when it comes to Shin Se Kyung's acting skills, I am not. Actually, she is an actress I would actively avoid as a replacement. However, if she gets the role, she can only impress since my expectations are low.

Anyway, I think that a lot of the perception of how S2 will be is now resting on Jang Dong Gun and Kim Ok Bin reprising their roles. If they do, that will help a lot.

Haha, the author had fun with this one. Jin-Sook was one of the main characters in the author’s previous work “Heartless City” (a vastly superior drama, in my opinion). There Jin-Sook was a gangster boss who got embroiled in a gangster war. She took Soo-Min (FL), an undercover police officer, under her wings, and for those who have seen Heartless City, it is impossible not to see the similarities. Eventually, Jin-Sook was forced out of the gangster world and went into hiding. When the police say that she has retired to Inchon, they refer to what happened in Heartless City.
