It's only have 40 episodes. The 46 episodes is for the television broadcasting which they need to fix with the television broadcast time slot. So the 40 episodes turn into the 46 episodes.
it’s a remake. the original plot is a love triangle which is what they are following 😒
FYI, the original plot did not really have the love triangle and is mainly focused on the family bonding. In the original series, He Ziqiu (the second brother) didn't love Li Jian Jian (The Female lead) romantically. He just wanted to be a part of her family legally. He didn't want to lose his sister to another man after she married or their father's (Pa Pa Li) remarried.
"Didn't want to left abandoned" is the only reason he want to marry his sister. This is the very needed case for the HZQ's character who was being abandoned by his mother in his childhood's days. The director of the original series has shown that fact brilliantly with certain dialogues but some of the viewers didn't get that part bcoz they skip the scenes or something idk. So in the end, HZQ (the second brother) was always a loving brother towards his sister, Jian Jian.
Just for your information my friends, the Season 1 is not the final of Lost you Forever. The final end of this drama will be the final episode of Season 2. Season 1 is just the half of the novel and there is more to watch on season 2. So we have to wish that Season 2 will be coming soon or we'll have to wait for at least 12 months because of the new broadcasting policy in china.
This drama really fulfill my long wait! All the casts are fit with their characters! The first impression is really great! And I hope the storyline will not be so differ with the novel.

Finished all of the episodes, now it's the time to say "Good Bye" to our Chang Ge & Ashile Sun. It would be great if I could give over 10 stars for this drama. This drama is really great. The storyline, characters, main leads, scenery views, fighting scenes & OST songs are all the best. This is the best historical drama of 2021. And thank u Reba & Wu Lei for giving us the best version of Li ChangGe & Ashile Sun.

Waiting for final episodes, but I'm not ready to say good bye to our characters in The Long Ballad. And also my friends in this comment discussion. This comment section is too healthy for me. I really want to praise Liu Yuning for his character "Hao Du". He fully showed his character with his smallest actions like his eye gazes & little smiles. We could see Hao Du's step by step changes from a robot to human because of his loved one.

I want to see more scenes of Zhang Yunlong as SZR. He really fit in his role and his chemistry with both Shawn Dou & Li Qin is really nice.
