@LA_Drama Fan - app is not letting me respond to your comment. It was mentioned that he had a disease - I have completely forgotten what it was now. Something like Tuberculosis or something - when he recovered he went back to get her from the orphanage and she was gone. Anyone else remember the name of the ailment he had?
Africa is a continent, with plenty of countries lmao. Africa is completely diverse with different cultures and…
Thank you! this really irritated me. With all the research that goes into breaking down professions in dramas, you would think the writers could look into Africa and realise it is a continent! One so large that all other continents can fit into it.
So delighted with this adaptation so far. I was a bit worried as I LOVE the webtoon. The author is so funny and I am glad they have used a lot of her style in the drama down to the little internal monologue 'plays'. It is a great low stakes drama and is now appointment viewing for me.
This is my favourite troupe so loved the second Adult Trainee episode. The actors had so much chemistry!! In Time With You (and all it other versions), Reply 1988 and Weight Lifting Fairy are my all time favs.
It was a 50/50 on whether I would be dropping after watching episode 3, but the show has me now. It's better than I thought it would be, really enjoying it so far.
But I actually loved that part the most. She realized she was wrong liking him for his face from the beginning.…
Yeah I liked this aspect too. It just that I see this often with romance stories with bigger women. It would be great if an actual romance is shown with them and is seen as the norm.
I enjoyed this as a whole and agree with the overall opinion that the second couple/story was the best. I liked the third story as well but why didn't the girl in that 'get' the guy? I understand it is a story about friendship but it would have been great to see fat girl get to experience the usual romantic machinations that girls that represent the crap beauty standards we have today. She didn't have to be the 'friend'.
Too many red herrings, flashbacks and convoluted plot lines. I think I went into this with higher expectations than I should have but having an acclaimed writer, director and actors can do that I suppose. Like some one said, they had a bunch of lobsters and made prawn crackers.
