just watched the first 2 episodes and its cute, he seems to fall hard and fast for her so Lets see how this pans out. Lots and lots of family drama and OTT story but it is fun.
I love the feel of this one, its so mature and realistic compared to other BLs, the cinematography has a touch of realism and the acting is superb. I love how raw offguns dramas can be, this and not me.

i wouldn't say its boring. If you like shows with historical elements and dance with some supernatural and romance then its great. The pacing is a little slow but its because the style is focused on the atmosphere and emotional elements. Ep 7 was the slowest in terms of story progression.

I know women were forbidden on the stage pretty much globally for a long period in the past so i wonder if the style was feminised because of this, similar to Chinese opera where the men would sing in higher pitches to imitate women. if the plot was a bit better with some more dialogue then i would have loved this. I like to criticise in the hope that future dramas improve and don't stagnate with the same laziness, they defiantly have the money and recourses to do better.
