There's only a couple of scenes where they actually communicate, in my opinion, communication is key and the script is so lacking. They really tried hard and put a lot of energy into the dance but this left everything else flat. There is a miniscule amount of romance and they do not discuss their issues or come to an understanding, they just state a few things about themselves and then CUT next scene.
Romance without communication in this day and age is just lazy writing. It's just eye candy with a barely existent plot. You never actually see the 10 dance competition. I highly doubt there will be a sequel as this is rare for JBLs.
They have their first kiss which is spontaneous passion and then it cuts to months in the future where they are breaking up. It's extremely choppy. All the money went into the dance, which is beautiful however, the actors were not given much of a script to work with.
They also do not progress as characters, for a successful story they need to grow together to accept each other. They dont . They remain as stubborn and stiff as they started just with added gay curiosity which is fizzled out very quickly as the dance is more important so they break up.
EXACTLY LIKE WDYM "SEE YOU AT 10DANCE??? I NEED THEM TO SHOW IT NOWWW
They barely even spoke to each other the entire movie lol the script/screenwriter was clearly asleep when making this. 🤣😭😭 I have a feeling there won't be a sequel as these actors don't seem to keen on BL from what I've read online. This was probably just a hype grabbing project. Such a shame ...
A lot of work has gone into this, the dancing is superb and highly choreographed showing the training leading up to the big event. There is chemistry between the leads however there is very minimal dialogue and quite a flat story. The dance elements are the main focus and whilst beautiful, It is a stretch to call this a romance as those elements seem quite disjointed from the choreography. There are only a couple of decent conversations between the leads and the rest is dance with some backstory.
If you came here for the BL elements you will be disappointed, if you came for the dance then you will love this.
If the focus was more on the relationship development and romance then this would have been perfect. It's a shame some areas are just hollow. You don't even get to see the main competition at the end.
omg it was quite something seeing the corpses preserved together :O This is an interestingly unique BL, im looking forward to seeing more of their past life and how Kaewta died and the promise he made. Both BillyBabe projects experimented with interesting concepts, im intrigued and loving the mystery and pace of this as it is not following the traditional route where the couple get together around the halfway mark and instead dives deeper into their past and present relationship. I wonder how this will be resolved since one of them is a ghost.
