I haven't seen the first four you mentioned (yet!) hahaha. But I do plan on watching them eventually (: I have seen QIHM and RTP but I don't think they really classify as historical either :p
The ones I have seen that do count are The Princess' Man (loved it!), Deep Rooted Tree, and Bu Bu Jing Xin (the only Mainland China drama I've seen and definitely a favorite of mine)

Me too!! :( It's even sadder to know that it's based off of real events, there really were 15 Sakhalin huskies that were left behind. I think that's what makes it even more sad :( And me too! I love how they tried and tried and really did everything they could to get to the dogs. But unfortunately the higher uppers didn't do enough :( This is actually the only KimuTaku drama I've seen so far haha. But it's definitely my favorite, it's one of my all time favorites now. I blame it a little for my drama funk. After watching it nothing else measured up to it. Haha good luck exploring (:
And you have a lovely week as well!! (:

That's actually where I first saw him in haha. I loved his character there so much I watching Chilling Romance and loved him even more. He was amazing in Dal Ja's Spring! That one quickly became a favorite :p

Ohh I see :/ That sucks! What are the other departments? Hopefully your department will get easier/better to deal with as time goes on.

And that's true, haha, it's always good to know about the economy. I just never pay attention to it :p

I love Secret Garden and Coffee Prince (: I watch just about anything and everything (from Korean to Thai dramas, happy to sad dramas). I tend to watch more Rom-Coms, though, and for a drama to fall into a favorite it must have romance in it :p Haha.

Haha agreed (: And haha I do, too, sometimes. It depends on the drama and how perfect the ending is :p

Yeah I get what you mean. I'm the opposite though haha. I tend to like those moments that make me cry, I'm weird like that :p

Haha you'll figure it out (: After that part it all goes downhill :p
And I know what you mean! Sometimes you do have really deep and enriching conversations on here (:

Nankyoku Tairiku had me crying buckets, too! The story really is beautiful and the dogs.....Riki was my favorite, I cried so much at the end :( I loved that, too! You could see the characters growing up and changing with the story, and just how much they all grew to love the dogs and hated leaving them behind.

I watched the original 1983 movie (found it on Youtube) and while it was also good, it didn't make me cry like the drama. However, there were similarities but the drama is definitely not only more detailed but the main characters were different, too. The only ones who kept the same names were the dogs. And some of them disappeared/died differently.

Eight Below I haven't re-watched yet

Haha I'm working on it :p It's not even textbooks that's the problem, it's my messed up schedule. By the time I get home I have an art project to work on and by the time I get done I don't have as much time to dedicate anywhere else. Plus my drama funk wasn't helping things. But I'm getting out of it so I'm finding it easier to get back into everything :p At least for the weekend
