Too long! Haha. It wasn't bad though, I made some friends at least, or at least met people I talked with. But they had us sit through so many lectures, especially on alcohol. The college I'm going to is well known for being a party school (Just look on Youtube...or live in town like me and you've heard it all haha) but they kept trying to tell people it wasn't as much of a party school as they thought. And then talks on cultural diversity and such. Also one on technology, apparently if you bring a Mac to your dorm or on campus you're required to have virus protection. Which is the stupidest thing I've heard because Macs don't need virus protection haha. A Mac without virus protection has less chance of getting one than a PC with one. But then they proceeded to say they don't know much about Macs.... Haha. Anyways, overall it was a nice experience, but I'm so glad it's over! :p

Hello! I'm doing well, had an issue with the dog though, he wound up snapping at me and nicked my face. Parents freaked and he went back to the shelter for a few days but we managed to get him back. Glad that complicated issue is over haha We went the whole week wondering what caused him to do that, but there's a number of reasons he might've did it.
Anyways, how have you been?! Haha (:

done it. But part of the reason why we did bring him back is because he has been really good and affectionate/loving towards us. But he does seem like the jealous type and he gets upset when he sees my step dad leave or my mom and my step dad leave. He wants to go with them haha.
And sounds like your dog made it hard for Yellow to get really close to you guys. Did he ever get really close? And wow 4 in 20 years? We had 1 in 12 years haha. Well 2 now. My mom wasn't a dog lover until we got our old dog, Deszoto. He was very protective but really loving and affectionate. Was good with children especially, too. He felt the need to protect any child haha. He was a sweetheart.
I'm hoping we don't have him involved in any dog fights, but I guess we'll find out down the road! And it definitely sounds like a learning experience!
And thanks a lot for caring, we did get him back, I'm relieved(:

him he's not to hit him at all. Just use a tone of authority. He understands that. Although I don't think the newspaper sounds too bad, definitely better than just hitting the animal - and only to show them that what they're doing is bad. But I agree with you - some people go too far and don't understand just how much hitting an animal can hurt them and make them shy away from you.
The good news is we're probably not going to get another dog....for awhile at least. We still want to get a puppy, but who knows when we will. And it's unclear as to how Achilles would react to said puppy, I don't think we could keep them sleeping in the same room, but again it might be the complete opposite.
I think we're going to have to go through a few different things with Achilles, but for the most part he seems happy with us. Just that night he snapped and there's a number of reasons why he might have

night, so I still think a lot of it had to do with him not feeling well. All we can do is try with him and give it our best. My step dad works 5 days a week from 12-12 (switches midnight and afternoon each week) and has 2 days off, so he really doesn't have much time to work with him. But he does try (he's the only one who can rough house with him, too, haha). But mostly it's my mom and I. I need to learn to speak louder, I talk too quiet at times, haha.
And another thing that's a bit surprising is how non-destructive he is, too. I've read that these types of dogs will become destructive when they're bored. Not him, the only time he does something is if he's outside he will dig around his area, but that's not bad. He's house broken, too. He's just pretty pushy and that's where we come with some problems. My step dad would not hesitate to hit him if it were called for, but my mom told

lawsuit of some sort - my mom had full plans of going to her attorney and reporting it to the press.
And I fully agree! Taking on an animal is a big responsibility - more so for hyper active dogs. Some people don't realize the extent of it when they take the animal in - and so they wind up getting put in a shelter.
It is difficult to say, as we don't know if he was hurt badly or what exactly happened in his past. He's apparently afraid of the lawn mower though - even when it's off; he gets really skittish around it. And it's weird (but kind of a good thing in a way) but he won't do his business in the backyard. He'll pee on the bushes and stuff but not the other one. He only does it when he goes on walks. I've never heard of a dog doing that before haha. He had a couple accidents in the basement before, but that was our fault.
He's never shown any sort of aggression before that

Ohh I see haha. He sounds like he did his own thing. And exactly! It basically is like them lending the dog to us, we never fully own him. Good thing is, though, this morning we were able to bring him back home after they talked to the District Manager - so now he's home and we don't have to worry about it! He had so much energy from being cooped up these past few days, it's been rainy all day so he's not going to get his evening walk either, but I can tell he's really happy to be home. We're just going to try a few different things with him. One is this "No free lunch" program thing where we make him do something for what he wants and never let him take the lead - although the latter is going to be a bit difficult because he is a pushy dog haha. And we're going to try getting him in an obedience school.
If the shelter had not given him back to us there definitely would have been a

I agree, I dunno how anybody could hurt an animal, I really don't. but people don't think, they get irritated if the animal doesn't listen and they hit. But Achilles even cowered once when my mom raised her hand to him to pet him - I think he thought she'd hit him. First sign that an animal has been abused.

when it comes down to it - how many people want to be tied to a contract? And you know what else? We called them asking if we could have them back and they tell us they'll call us in the morning because they're busy but they might not give him back to us because we gave them multiple stories. Ummm what? They never even heard my story - I was the one that was attacked - and my mom asked them countless times on the phone if they had wanted to. If they don't let us get him back.... knowing my parents I see a future lawsuit of some sort. We own him, we payed for him, we're giving him a second chance - shouldn't they be happy about it? They have him quarantined outside. Luckily it hasn't been too hot out lately but he's a cold weather dog! If they leave him out there in the hot sun he's going to get sick, and I'm sure he wasn't feeling well that night he bit me. It was a warning.

Aww I'm glad you guys didn't put him down and he came around! And I agree it is a vicious cycle! The shame of it is the dog can't even defend itself :/ We called the animal shelter, we want to bring him back home. We've had a few days to think about it and truth be told I don't see him getting a better family than us for him. Reasons being 1) if they decide to not put him down they would have to list that he bites. After people read that he's a biting dog - the likelihood for adoption would go way down. 2) he's a pretty big dog, most people these days tend to pick out smaller dogs. 3) there's no way of knowing his history, we picked him out because he picked us out. Who's to say that's going to happen again? And the shelter makes it so hard on people to adopt - did you know that you never really own a dog that you adopt? The rightful owners will always remain the humane society *smh* and

shelter - you don't know it's history unless you know the owner. I think there was a possibility he had been abused before. And I think the reason why he snapped was to give me a warning. There's a 100 things that could've caused him to snap that night. And he did feel remorse for it. I don't want to see him put down for it :(
I haven't seen Dong Yi, I think I took it off of my list. I've seen Han Hyo Joo in Shining Inheritance and the movie Always with So Ji Sub. I dunno, I guess I find her acting decent and it doesn't bother me, but she's not the best actress out there haha.

He was found as a stray so we have no idea about his history at all. They even had him listed as the wrong breed - he's an Alaskan Malamute mix (whether it's german shepherd or possibly wolf - maybe both). We wound up taking him back to the shelter after my step dad talked to our vet and she said it'd be in our best interest to take him back. But she only met him once. They were going to put him down but my mom called and asked them not to. But my best friend says they'll still put him down, so now I'm worried. I didn't want to take him back and he really doesn't deserve to be put down for it. He didn't do much damage (I'm already healing fine and it won't scar, I'm sure) but I dunno what we're going to do now. We talked about bringing him back but decided that it'd be better to get a puppy so we would know his history and everything. That's the problem with taking an older dog from the
