Yeah I can see your point there. Like I said I don't despise them for doing it as long as the drama/movie itself turns out okay. But it's better when you have actors who are actually doing it because they wanted a career in it or they truly love acting. And not because someone told them they should do it to boost up their popularity. It kind of annoys me when some actors get so much attention not because of how they act but because the public sees them as "good looking" or "attractive" - but then those with real talent for it don't get as much of a positive feedback.

Haha awww - who knows, maybe another chance will pop up for you to try to talk to your mom about why you love dramas?? :D I wish my mom would seem the slightest bit interested, she calls them stupid without knowing anything about it - but she's always said that about anything I watched haha

Mmm true. Company's like their people to be versatile and well known. If they think it'd be good for your image to be on a drama they'll have them do it. I think it's something some idols consider doing later on in life. Some actors such as Yoon Eun Hye or Yoon Kye Sang both started out in an idol group but then they stopped doing music to pursue acting - and both are very good actors. I think you mentioned that that's a different case though.

Hahaha me too! I'm 18 but I could pass as a 12 year old because I'm short...so maybe I'll be able to pull it off :p haha. Maybe by the time I'm in my mid-twenties I can pass as a high school student? Haha

Yeah I see where you're coming from. To me if they're actually interested in acting because they like it and want to try it out - why not? In most cases they'll be decent at least, maybe not the type of actor that would stand out for their talent but enough to keep the actual storyline of the drama or movie going. I don't mind idols turning towards acting as long as they actually try. But yeah it annoys me when they try to take on acting for those reasons but don't even give their all to what they're acting in and can't act.

Hahaha I guess so (it's because I started on Japanese stuff). It just every time she says it I'm always watching something that's not Japanese...haha

But that's cool your mom actually seemed to be interested about it! Haha it's a step in the right direction :p My mom just labels it all as "weird" haha

And yeah when I get involved in a drama I'm off in my own world, too. Especially if I'm really loving it!! :p

Hahaha I used to think it was all the same, too. But that's because growing up in a different country you don't know any better. My mom's like that, too. Everything I watch is "Japanese" to her despite the fact that I watch just about everything now haha. Ohh a Thai drama...definitely Japanese. Haha I try explaining to her the differences but I don't think she cares. I get annoyed with it, too, because it's like now I can see all the differences, not just in the way they look but in the way they speak and the customs and to most people they think it's all the same =___=

Haha I think that's exactly it! When something is all you know and you hear something different you kind of become interested in it because of the fact that it's different. Something along those lines haha (:

Ohh I see. Jaejoong's not a bad actor, I've seen him in a few things and he did pretty well. I'm not against idols becoming actors if they can actually act (like Lee Seung Gi for example - was a singer then a host and became an actor later on). But then sometimes you do get a lot of idols who will go into acting and don't have an ounce of talent (Kim Hyung Joon [not the one you like haha] for example). So really it all depends for me. Sometimes I like watching just to see how well someone does at acting.

Haha yeah I'm also impressed with a lot of asian actors because of how they're able to pull off many different characters :D And haha same about the uniform thing! They always look so young!

Ahh okay, I thought Yamamoto Yusuke was hilarious in Hana Kimi :p Haha. For me my favorite Korean actor would definitely be Lee Seung Gi, favorite Japanese actor is either Ikuta Toma or Kamenashi Kazuya, and my favorite Chinese/Taiwanese actors would be Jiro Wang and Jay Chou (: But I have a ton of other faves haha

And ohh okay, I get that. I think that's how I feel about actors like Jaejoong - not that he's a bad actor but it's more I watch to see him on screen and makes me want to see him act....as confusing as that kind of sounds haha.

Ohh you download, too? I've been telling myself to keep up with a certain queue of dramas but I'll be bad and start downloading a completely random drama I feel like watching haha. I have a couple other dramas I'm watching at the moment and need to finish so I need to refrain from doing that....haha. Shut Up is really good, so whenever you do get around to it I'm sure you'll like it (:

Inoue Mao is a good actress, I liked her in Hana Yori Dango (: Haha at first I thought the Kim Hyun Joong was the Kim Hyun Joong from SS501 (now a solo artist) until I looked at the MDL page for White Christmas and realized it was someone completely different hahaha. Sung Joon is in Shut Up Flower Boy Band and I'm loving his character there (: I should try to watch White Christmas sometime soonish, haha (:
