Yeah,let people say what they want. Also this drama has a rating of 3.9/10 ( 94k ratings)on douban,,I think Chinese netzens can be harsh sometimes. Me personally i don't think it was that bad . I would give. It a 7/10
No am not a hater and No am not ANTI, (I'm just a drama watcher). I'd like to make that clear since in this comment section anyone who says anything against this drama or it's actors is quickly labeled as just being a hater even if it's valid/ constructive criticism. I just binged the drama in the last one week and there's been talk about YangYang's(YY) acting (pretends to be shocked*)
Anyone here trying to defend his acting is doing themselves a disservice and all the other actors who actually put in the effort. He’s never been a good actor and now that he can’t play the male equiv of flower pot roles, people can’t disregard his lack of skill anymore. He’s had ample time to work on his skills but he hasn’t and has instead relied on his looks, that was always going to backfire.
Everyone trying to blame the director is also being ridiculous imo, a director isn’t solely responsible for the output from an actor(not 100%) and the LEGITIMATE criticisms are mainly about him preserving his look and acting, not the directorial choices. And as can be seen from the rest of the cast, good actors will always shine not matter how bad the source material or director are. I don't think it's fair to blame the director and say they didn't do their job,when every other actor is outperforming him.That fully shoes it's a YY problem cause otherwise the other actors would be terrible and they aren't. Dylan Wang for ex. was criticized for his acting in "Miss the Dragon" heavily, and he improved and turned it around in LBFAD.he received do much praise.YY has been receiving criticism for some time now but he's show no improvement.(makes you wonder if he even cares)
I don't think he's a poor actor but he's hampered by his desire to look perfect( he comes of as a model who act in dramas rather than an actor).If he would open up and showcase his vulnerability without being concerned how he's looking for the camera at every moment ,I think he would improve much.If you want the audience to believe you,you have to be willing to let go
I think Wu Bi was really hurt in that scene where he found the girl in suyu's room( and thought maybe they slept together?) ...He was mad but you could feel the pain and hurt in his words
