I do agree, but then again he thinks that he brings nothing but suffering to the people around him. He does not…
Vegas' thinking that he doesn't deserve love comes from his relationship with his father, unfortunately. It is the result of not receiving love from the only caregiver and the result of trauma from childhood and adulthood, abuse and abandonment. Usually such people feel less valuable, they think they don't deserve love or even closeness in a relationship. He might let Pete go, but not so easily because Pete gives him what he needs and didn’t receive before. But yeah maybe I'm wrong and Vegas will let Pete go because of everything you said.

I don't believe Vegas will let Pete go. Vegas have so many issues that come from his relationship with his father. His father is an asshole who is abusing him and didn't provide Vegas with basic needs, like love, only give him hedgehogs as a replacement. Vegas took care of them, developed an attachment to his pets and probably mourned all the deaths of his pets alone. And no one comforted him when they died. Now, another pet he loved is dead.

Then there's Pete, who decided to come back even when he was presented with the perfect opportunity to escape. Especially after everything Vegas had done to him. Pete is probably only person who offered Vegas gentle touch and comfort, since Vegas always felt only his father’s rough hand.

Vegas made attachment to Pete since Pete is alternative supporting figure who showed understanding for Vegas' situation with his father, and offered comfort and compassion after death of yet another pet. Then there is also that sex thing between the two of them so feelings of love also started to develop. So yeah, there's no way Vegas is letting Pete go.

Since Vegas is always abandoned by everyone he loves, no matter how Pete leaves, if he escapes or Vegas lets him go, it's going to hurt like hell. ☹️

Are we getting Pete's funeral scene 🤨. Cause I want it. It was most funniest thing on novel. I want to see…
Yes, I want that too. The whole funeral. Khun’s offerings, all of them scared shittles when Pete comes back covered in blood, especially Khun who almost pees in his pants,Porsche jumping on Kinn's back...I really want to see all that. Apo and Tong would be hilarious in those scenes. 🤞

As your neighbor, I agree with everything you wrote, specially about society we live in. Our countries are similar…
I'm from Croatia and Little Daisy is from Serbia. Unfortunately, hatred towards other nationalities exists everywhere. ☹️ It has always seemed to me that more developed countries are a little better than ours in this regard.

The saddest thing is that there are few of us who think like you and me. And that probably such thinking will not change so soon. ☹️

First thank you all for sharing your stories. I think society needs to be educated more about SA and every kind of abuse. That it’s not okay to be SA because the way you dress, it’s not okay to be abused by a parent, partner or even colleagues. It must be normal to seek professional help without being judged and blamed. People also need to be educated that SA happens to both men and women. And yes, comments can hurt someone and sometimes it’s better to keep quiet than to comment or think twice before saying anything. And that everything shared online comes to light sooner or later.

I have to say that I don’t agree that for everything someone has said and done we can’t blame the society in which someone grew up and lives. I just want to tell you this from the perspective of someone who sees and knows that the society in which we grew up shaped people. I live in a country where it’s okay to hate our neighbors because of the war that was 30 years ago. Even people my age who were 2-3 years old at the time and don’t even remember the war are full of hatred. Because politicians, parents, grandparents, school, most of our society in general have told them that it’s okay to hate their neighbors. For most people in my country, it’s okay to hate the LGBT community just because society has told them those people are not normal and nothing can change their minds. It is okay to hate everything that is not connected with the church.

Second, I often see comments on Facebook about how LGBT people deserve to be beaten, how women deserve to be raped for how they dress, how abused women probably asked for it. All this from both women and men in their 20s and even 30s. Why? Some of them are immature, and some are just assholes and full of hatred, and for some it’s their upbringing.

Unfortunately, some who think differently are afraid to say their true opinion because society condemns them and calls them all sorts of names.

And for Build? Only he knows if his apology is sincere and if his thinking has changed. And why he didn’t react earlier when the BOC warned him.

Omg mindblowing and wow, what a great analysis. Kudos to you dear!! I love ravens and owls even more now. 💖…
I was sure everything would be rushed and I would be disappointed. But before these last explosive episodes, VP was happening so slowly and subtly through all those hidden symbols. I hope that this will continue through the second season.

Thank you for reading. I remember one of the directors saying in an interview that there are a few elements through which they have to tell one of the love stories.

This is long, first one, and whoever reads this, thank you.

Since episode 10 I keep thinking about all those trinkets in Vegas' red room.
Skulls, picture and statue of Santa Muerte makes sense, but owl figurine looks so out of place. While reading book about symbols I found meaning of a owl and raven.

And all those trinkets are again connected to Vegas and Pete.

Raven(skull)-In Greek mythology, crows and ravens originally had white / silver wings. But the crows wings turned black because they were chatty because they were transmitting to their masters everything that is happening.

The raven was advised by crows not to pass on bad news to their master Apollo, because the crow suffered a similar fate when it spied on its master's daughters. "My punishment can serve as a warning ... not to call danger with your stories." said the crow. But the raven ignored the warning and repeated the crow's mistake. Apollo punished him and turned his bright white color of feathers into black.

Raven is considered as a foreshadowing of bad luck, misfortune, and death. But the raven is also a symbol of renewal, so death does not have to be physical. It can be rebirth, improving life, becoming a better person.

In nature, ravens achieve the power of domination and manipulation over creatures in their environment, forcing other animals to work for them. They will invite wolves to tear apart the carrion to get to the meat. When a wolf or fox does this for them, the raven will wait for them to finish their feast and then pounce on the remains.

Owl-The owl is seen as a messenger of death, but the symbolism of the owl refers to transformation, change, death in a symbolic sense. While this change may be physical, it is most often spiritual. Most likely a life transition. In most cases, the appearance of an owl indicates that it is time to "let go" of something, to get rid of something (or someone), to allow it to simply go away. It is similar with dreams, where the owl most often warns of some temptation or danger, and that person will have to be very smart and thoughtful in order to respond to that challenge. By being night bird, owl also represent sadness and loneliness.

Both birds are symbols of Vegas and Pete.
The raven is Pete’s symbol because while he was following Vegas he was transmitting to Kinn everything Vegas was doing. Just like the crows warned the raven not to spread the news and not to provoke fate, Vegas warned Pete in subtle ways. After Vegas caught Pete sneeking, Pete didn't give up, he was still transmitting to Kinn everything about Vegas. That party scene where Pete is shown in the mirror when he is talking with Kinn and is shown in red light is his foreshadowing of bad luck and misfortune. He provoked fate and in the end is punished for not listening. And now that Vegas caught him, Pete's dark side came out, just like raven's wings had turned black.

Just as ravens feast on the remains of a corpse, after wolves, and play with them, Vegas is doing same with Kinn's exes.

Just like a raven, Vegas exploits / manipulates Big / Ken and Tawan. That's Vegas making others do work for him. Ravens also use other birds to get prey. Just like Vegas use Porsche to get what he wants — Pete.

If other birds / people are hostile towards ravens they will remember them and resent them. Like Vegas does with his father and Kinn.

And for Vegas, spiritually raven represents renewal, rebirth, changes because of Pete, he become better person.

The owl represents Pete’s sadness, darkness, melancholy and lonely retreat while he is locked up, and when he is missing Vegas. But from the moment Pete is captured his thoughtfulness of how to get out of the situation he found himself in is also shown. He refused to break down that easily. He chalenges Vegas by laughing in his face. That's Pete who is telling Vegas about his father. That is his get out card. Make his captor sympathize with him. Again, Pete's thoughtfulness is shown when he took advantage of the situation and freed himself with a belt.

The owl is also Pete's symbol, because owl symbolizes people who have great intuition and who can see the darkest part of the soul of others. People who see beyond mask of others who put them to trick people. Owl is also symbol of people who can see beyond the deception of others.
Vegas put mask to trick people, to pretend and decive everybody around him.
Pete is the only one who saw beyond Vegas' mask. Pete is the only one who saw Vegas' dark soul, but also his good side.
With Pete beside him, Vegas don't need to pretend, he can be who he really is.

Just like raven, for Vegas owl again represents change, of his emotions, Vegas who is slowly letting go of his resentment toward main family and his hate for his father and self-hatred. Owl represents Vegas' death in a symbolic sense. He was leaving part of his old life behind, and is moving forward. But owl also represents Vegas' lonely life before Pete and his sadness after Pete escapes.

Skull has the same meaning like owl and raven. The skull also symbolizes the embodiment of future changes: positive and negative.

Basiclly all those symbols for Pete have different meanings, but for Vegas they represents only one thing - his change to becoming better person for Pete. Him regreting everything he did to Pete, and in the same time letting go of his past and embracing better future with Pete.

Both birds are monogamous, so that symbolism is there as well.
