Mame has never been good with the meaning of "NO". She doesn't do her kink quite right. This is one of her better…
I comment because I feel passionately about sexual assault, as someone who knows tons of gay men who have been sexually assaulted with fetishized scenarios like these. I dropped the show, and came here to make sure it's clear that people know that it's not okay to be in popular media. You can balance light and dark, and this poorly written show is not it AT ALL ROFL.
Of course I know it's fictional, what kind of dumb question is that? Doesn't matter, because popular media influences conversation and action in real life, and influences what people believe and think is okay. Just like how the extremely perverted manga in Japan helps normalize the sexual assault and rape of women there. Or how sexual harassment in western gay media and social media helps normalize sexual assault and rape of gay men, at least in the US.
I now realize someone who can't inherently see these things is likely a child/teenager, so i'm done with the commenting now too. I hope as y'all grow up, you don't feed into that culture and support/allow sexual assault in your own lives. Best of luck to y'all!
Although I’m enjoying the sex scenes and nice kisses but I can’t help but think if Rain actually understand…
Let's be clear here. This is not a D/S relationship. Y'all ever do bdsm? There's a conversation that happens between a dom and sub that establishes the dynamic explicitly. Otherwise, this is nonconsensual and SA (sexual assault). You don't just get a guy in you barely met in your bed and it's D/S without any indication of the dynamic. Even a kinky hookup requires someone to say what they like and don't, and when someone says "no", no means no. Otherwise, it is SA.

I guess at least you're honest about your depravity. straight up Marquis de Sade shit lol. Don't lump everyone in with yourself though; some people are horrified that this is allowed in popular media.

Lol, new people start watching shows at different times; it's not always the same exact people. Maybe you could reflect on how there's consistent problems with this in Mame's work, and shouldn't just excuse it. Esp if it's years of the same things being called out 🤷 maybe fans need to confront these problems, and not just let them slide. It's not toying with these ideas, it's displaying SA unequivocally. Over and over, apparently. Maybe some people are fine letting it go, but others are very aware it's not okay, and feel the need to address it.
Maybe sometimes it's borderline SA, but let's call it as it is: there is open SA in this show lol. and in other…
It's a new BL show, and I try it. I don't look em up beforehand; they're recommended in youtube algorithms. Then I see bad things happen, and look it up. Low and behold, it's Mame. I also saw posts about it because everyone kept comparing it to VegasPete, and wanted to see. Sadly, people are just wrong.
No, I don't love it, and have only seen the first two eps of this, and of TharnType, which was more disappointing.

Yeah, very much agree about the d/s dynamics. There's conversation that is supposed to happen to make the dynamic explicitly understood, and this show doesn't do that. So... it becomes nonconsensual at points. If this is meant to be a d/s dynamic, the producers are doing a poor job of understanding and portraying it correctly. And in doing so, are potentially influencing people (kids!!!) to think this is okay, when it CLEARLY is not.

I figured that's why you left it slightly ambiguous. Which is why I was willing to call it out. I'm not worried, and want these fans to know outright what they're supporting =)
Wow! I've received a lot of ugly responses and posts because I hinted that the "forced" suppository scene was…
It reads to me the same way a lot of Japanese Yaoi does, which is often uncomfortable, and a lot of the times downright not treating humans as humans. But it is definitely something that a lot of people are into, for better or for worse. Idk why people are comfortable in indulging in this, but to me it just speaks volumes about them. And Mame, and the companies that produce this, to cash in on people like that.
Sigh... I always wonder if a Mame show will be better, but I think im done trying. Production isn't totally there, the evolution of this relationship is all over the place and shallow (didn't start with much, and let's not exclude the nonconsensual stuff), all of the characters around the main are flat or shallow... idk, it reads like bad fanfiction you read in middle school. I think I've read better on Ao3. Dropped at this point!
Put these actors with different writers and producers =/ they could do a lot better if they aren't being held back by such poor writing and production. This last ep was bad!***SPOILER*** legit thought the child at the end belonged to the pregnant lady from the hotel, but I guess it's implicit that they adopted a child together(?) WTF random detail was that? On another note, Praew really did well for herself steering clear of the men in seconf part of this series. The guys are such a steaming pile of crap!
So much potential with the first episode, and these actors have potential too. But the storyline is just not up to par, and relies too much on artificial, prolonged drama. Only redeeming factor is CandyBoat ^.^
