I think Pear will be an interesting character in future. If she will ever fall for Kawi (the trailer went in that direction), I hope she will slowly grow feelings. I couldn’t stand it if she'll run to Kawi as her 2nd choice because Pisaeng rejected her 😥

Apart from the acting of the kiss, which in my opinion wasn't that bad. But the filming? What was that? The same scene from three different perspectives, and then the cameraman decided to make a trip around them... and those angles from below? 👀🤔

Honestly, I didn't like Ha Ram in the episode with the bus and the taxi scene: he made me so uncomfortable, and I wasn't even there. But he wasn't aggressive or anything, so I get your point.

I've never watched a kdrama with het couples, so I don’t know a lot about that. But I hate the double standard I saw here on MDL between Love Mate and Happy Merry Ending: the two shows aired basically at the same time so it was easy to compare.

I get that people react differently from the two behaviours (I did it too), but I saw comments judging Ha Ram as a helpless newbie madly in love, simply trying to get attention; while describing Jae Hyun as an arrogant stalker sending nagging messages to a quite scared crush.
I think we all need more coherence.

I agree with the fact that kBLs are rated harsher than Thai BLs, but honestly, in this particular case, I agree with the rates.

I love MSP and MC and, to me, they both deserve high rates.
On the other hand, I like a lot Eighth Sense and Semantic Error, but they're not my favourites from Korea.

The worst thing, though, is that so many average Thai BLs are rated higher than good kBLs...

I loved the contrast in ep8 scenes.
On one side there's Seung Jun wearing white in all the scenes, and there was always a lot of light.
Jae Hyun instead, was wearing black, and he was often in the shadow.

It culminated in the shot at the wedding hall, the floor was divided into two parts: white for Seung Jun, and dark for Jae Hyun. Seung Jun took again control of his life and found the light, while Jae Hyun was in the darkness. When Seung Jun run towards him to kiss him, it was as if the light could finally come back also to JH's life. 🤍🖤

I agree, actors did a good job. Especially Dong Won who was at the first experience, I guess.
It's just a shame that the writers couldn’t shape the whole plot in a decent paced script. They lost time in subplots and characters without really adding to the main story - which is something I like, when you have time to do that...

I thought that after Our Dating Sim, Korea understood how to put all in such short time.

I'm glad that Our Dating Sim has shown that it's possible to do a show with that amount of time. I don't get why others didn't learn the lesson!
As you said, the main plot already needed more time to fully develop, but here we have unnecessary subplots or characters (I like Jae Hyun's coworkers, but they added nothing...). We viewers know that producing a BL in Korea isn’t easy, but if you have little screen time, then be direct and concise.

Same, Seung Jun's hairstyle was a NO for me.

Overall, I kinda like it too.

Yes, same. Men (or boys) are usually represented as unrealistically perfect - and honestly, this is raising our standards so damn high - but this is so far from true that is annoying. And this happens also in dramas with het couples.

It's not a coincidence that one of my favourite dramas is Old Fashion Cupcake. "Raw adult emotions with relatable characters", I really like this description 💗

I'm not that much into sci-fi but I'd love so much a crime-based BL and the rest of everything you said.

I think BLs started as romance dramas with a gay main couple, so it would be difficult to change it. What you and I wish for tends probably more towards the larger category of LGBTQ series than BLs (which, at least in my opinion, have built their place in a particularly predetermined scheme).
