I'm finally on ep 29 and my god did it take a long time for their identies to be revealed. It wouldve been so much better if it happened before the wedding. That way they couldve worked it out and accepted each other before then and worked with each in the open for half the series. Now there's 9 episodes left and we probably still have to get thru the angst. Also before the reveal its hard to fully enjoy the romance from the leads because I as the audience knows their identies so there will naturally be an underlying tension or worry with every sweet moment when i think of how it will be when the truth is revealed. Honestly i think this would've been better as an anime, it has the same shortfalls and strengths as many animes.

Im on the later episodes and you're right in the sense if he wasnt affected by evil energy of the demon deity thats how he should behave. It seems more like his so desperate for her to love him that he let evil energy warp his mind to obsession and then add the fact that he retrieved his old memories obviously his love for her would turn twisted. I feel like if he was a normal character he would've been heartbroken but accepted his fate like other 2nd leads in other dramas. But for this drama it seems like all the 2nd leads are fated to become evil.
Like if u look at the action scenes where there's normally alot happening because of the directing, but he weirdly does the same thing for the kissing scenes like its that meme of idian dramas
Im on episode 26 and I feel this story is 50% aura farming and 50% plot. I'm gonna need xu kai and tian xi wei to do another drama together because the plot is not giving what I thought it would. They have really good chemistry.
Im on ep 22 and its so ironic that Mei Zhu Yu is doing all this because he believes he needs to protect Wu Zhen from those evil demons lol I have a bad feeling that when he finds out the truth he will be incredibly conflicted
Im on episode 21 and oh my god i feel so bad for Wu Zi Shu. I haven't felt this sad for a 2nd ML in a long time. And i think what makes it worse is that he is so loyal to Wu Zhen that I know he's the type that would burn down the world for the person he loves. Dont get me wrong me wrong I like the main pairing but my god seeing his heartbreak when Wu Zhen tells him all the reasons why she loves Mei Zhu Yu and its everything he thinks he was for her was heartbreaking. I cant lie I teared up when he cried. I just want this show to end with him ending up with someone that loves him tbh
