First watch Drama, than Read novel

1st advice: See the drama first and then read novel.

The Casting is perfect. Actor who play ML.... the way his eye talk, his expression.... is chef kiss. I love Zhou Li acting who played He Yan role. She perfect fit with every types characters whether it's serious role or bubbly, funny, cute girl type of role. All the action scene were perfect well co-ordinated specially between ML & FL.
Also, the supporting cast were also very good.
When the teaser first drop, I was so excited because at that time I haven't read the novel yet as I was waiting for the translation to get complete. As soon as I saw the teaser, I bling read the whole novel.

Now come my little disappointment with new regulation of Chinese drama.
As per new regulation, C-drama will only have episodes upto 40 and if the it's necessary to have more than 40 episodes than second season can do but that too after 6months of last airing of S1 of the same drama. Due to which this drama was cut short.

Now my rant which could contain spoilers
I am okay with no rebirth plot but unnecessary of misunderstanding that Xiao Jun have after downing He Yan truth. It wasn't in the novel. Also, the wedding plot, from what I remembered it wasn't in the novel too. Further, SL obsession with Henan wasn't in the novel too, why you need to add it. IT WAS UNNECESSARY. The battle in last episode actually happened after their marriage and He Yan was with General Yan and his battalion. Never come to recuse help Xiao Jun.
Further, when I read the novel I was excited to see how the film those battle scenes from Jiyang where He Yan actually battle in water and Garrison attack by WuTao people where she killed 3 wutao people. But when I saw the actual scenes it wasn't same as descriptive in the novel. I am kind of disappointed with these 2 battle scenes.
Writer gege/ Writer Jiějiě you change many thing but can't you changed General Yan fate, too. As a person who love the novel, my heart pain for him and his furen.
There are things which are changed from the novel and for me....... some are good, and some aren't.

MUST WATCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am fed up by sad and opening ending in the Cdramas, I wait till last episode so that I know whether it's happy or sad or opening ending. I very very happy that writers of this show didn't follow other writer's path and give us happy ending.

Now, the PLOT!!!!!!!!!!! Its so good, very episode kept me on hook. THE COUPLE IS ONE OF THE BESTEST COUPLE IN HISTORY OF C-DRAMA AS THEY WAS NO MISUNDERSTANDING JUST LOVE TOWARDS EACH OTHER❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ They are so coordinate with other. It was start with admiring each other and end up together❤️❤️❤️❤️ It's been said that after marriage the love shown in dramas are so good but HERE, Oh my, 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰 our ML flirts with FL every time he gets irrespective of places. The way he expressed his love for Shou Gu from his eyes...🫠🫠🫠🫠🫠
Apart from MCs, the friendship between FL, her cousin sister and their friend is best. Yes, some situation arisen where there is kind of argument but friend knows FL always want best for her.

I love when FLs are shown as smart, intelligent, self sufficient and capable which Shou Gu is. 😎😎
What some fresh for me is after rebirth she didn't relay on getting revenge for her death in past life rather she go independent and start her business to be self reliant, as well as focus on herself and her loved ones only. She is forgiving as she even mend her relationship with her step sister when she able to understand that people from past and present can be different.

Where as Song Mo, God he so GREEN FOREST!!!!!!!!!🥰🥰🥰 Although he had his doubt on Shou Gu initially yet he decide to trust her. There is line which he said looking at her, "HERE COME MY BACK UP". My God, I was gone like 🫠🫠🫠🫠🫠🫠 He always trust her to be his backup in every situation. Never hide anything from her.

The acting of the actors are also so top trie. I am very happy for the actor who play Song Mo to get lead in historical drama. I very much enjoyed his acting since Love and Redemption.
