I was kind of feeling bad when I made that comment seeing sudden influx of negative comments on the drama page.
What I see from neutral people's comment, it seems that in some last episodes editing team has done this drama dirty.They should have atleast made this drama of 33 Episodes , for giving it a proper closure . I don't know what they were thinking, may be broadcasting channels were in a hurry to release other dramas after this one, hence they generously chopped this drama.
Anyways, this drama has performed very well in China till the end and that is only going to matter in long term.
I still hope for this drama to atleast get any one of the important awards after how much this drama has suffered under the hands of censorship but still managed to deliver it's message successfully and became a hit (when no one was expecting it to be).

Also I agree these international fans of some artists (who are only known for their fluffy idol dramas) have misconceptions about the status and popularity of these artists in China. And because of that they tend to think that their favorite is above everyone.
I am not saying all idol dramas are bad but I have noticed that with time they are becoming more about petty beautiful decorations and less about substance. Like I also do tend to enjoy some idol dramas time to time but these days newer ones don't impress me enough.

Such an irritating way to promote a drama !

I have not watched recent episodes (as I am going to binge watch them later) but I am going to say this anyways. Editing for this drama may some times seem choppy as it is based on a very sensitive topic with real life cases, Like for example the character Yin jian sheng is based on real life anti trafficking police officer who got killed in the same way as shown in this drama . Hence it has gone through very harsh censorship that too for a long time after completing it's shooting.

But so far despite fault with its editing, general reception for this drama is very good and it seems to still have managed to deliver it's message successfully and I am happy for that.

Some people on this site are so impatient and negative!
I did not want to write this comment on the drama page (as it can lead to negativity there),so I am going to write it here.
Like when it comes to something they like about a drama you would hardly see them making any comment.
But than they find pettiest things they don't like about a drama and are going to write paragraphs after paragraphs discrediting it, ruining the whole mood of the drama page. Like we all know this drama is based on a very sensitive topic and has gone through a very harsh censorship leading to somewhat choppy editing, but this drama has still managed to deliver.

At this point I am very happy that the sword rose is doing so well in China despite being neglected so much by tenecent and turning out to be a dark horse while most of international fans are not even giving it a fair chance. For them idol romance dramas with zero logic and full of glitters is a masterpiece while dramas such as sword rose which talks about dark reality of humans is just some drama not even worthy to look at.

Well in the novel it is not mentioned in detail for how long she dated each one of them. She only mention these past lovers to discourage male lead from persuing her, telling him that with the passage of time she doesn't even remember her past lovers names. And if he keeps persuing, he will just become one of them in future.

On X , there are some melon accounts which posts all the news and rumours related to actors and their dramas.

She is a 400 years old ghost king, and had 22 human lovers in the span of these years. As they were humans, they didn't have long lifespan as her's.

This drama is more about victims of human trafficking and their families.

Here female lead is calm and strong from outside but is soft and empathetic from inside. You will realise this with further episodes.

One of the nice thing about this drama is here leads are portrayed as actual front line workers and they don't carry much of a hallow of being the ultimate one which automatically comes with being the lead of a drama itself .

So yeah here leads are not going to be the biggest highlight of the show, but the social issue it talks about is the main hero for this show.

So embarrassing for getting caught for mass down rating such a serious drama on social issues, that too by douban itself lol. And this drama is backed by government too.
Their this behaviour has brought shame to their idol and reflects poorly on her for whom they are doing such low work.

I looking forward to this. Hope they have given her good commedy scenes as I miss her so much in this genre.

In no. Of views it has been no. 1 according to Kuyun data for some days now.

According to yesterday's episodes data it has just become no.1 in yunhe ranking too with 17.8% share.

On dengta according to latest datas it is at no.2 for market share.

Also it has become a S+ level drama in ratings when initially it was A level .

So yeah this drama is doing very well so far , that too without any major promotions.

Generally International viewers are not much into main stream chinese dramas which doesn't have any romance. But it's ok this drama is doing really well in China so far.

I like that too, they would help each other to heal from all the trauma they have suffered.
