From not fun and confusing to actually very good. The transition between first and second half of the show is incredible. The show picked up after the mid-mark, it's like it finally found the instructions how to build their Lego set.
The conclusion of the show was very satisfying and if I could I'd just re-watch latter part of the show, cause it was genuinely enjoyable and I could have not predicted that I will actually enjoy this show as much. First few episodes were extremely messy, the script was all over the place
the directing was chaotic, and the subs were difficult to decipher but it seems like after 1st few episodes something clicked and everybody suddenly got their ish together.
If I were to rate their early attempts it was just 3/10, the show wasn't necessarily giving what was supposed to be gave. But towards the end show really came into it's own and gave a solid 8/10 performance even the actors, they had great chemistry, weren't afraid to act spontaneously with
each other and it was just a pleasure to see them interact.
Wasn't expecting myself to be so giddy for them as a couple, since it takes a lot and even couples with "good chemistry" usually don't get me this giggly and excited, but these two really felt extremely natural it's like mid-shooting something just shifted for the two and they really enjoyed each other's company.
And tbh I did enjoy all the supporting characters, it also took them some time to really show their potential, but in latter episodes they all became an enjoyable group. Truly, even tho I'm not scoring this insanely high (I'm looking at the overall picture and experience it's delivered from beginning to end) , I did enjoy the latter episodes and it's one of the best redemption arcs (as in show quality, where the show actually picks up the mess, cleans it up and delivers)
that I have ever seen in BL, where first few episodes left me convinced that I just watched it
because of how incredibly messy this show was and it wouldn't score more than 3/10, but the turn-around was incredible and it became genuinely enjoyable. Loves it 6/10 .

Honestly ? Should have stuck with warm embrace and tight, impactful hugs. Like I don't need full on french action with spit all over the set, but in this case with all that zombie action just hugs would have been better.
Also kinda frustrating to have like 3-4 mins of last episode in the new episode, that's too long for a summary of what happened last, especially when two episodes get released at once.

oh no here we go with the fish kisses, it's (almost) always like that with Korean BLs, great plot, great editing,…
I also used to refer to such kisses as "dead fish" but recently I've started calling them *the stifflers* xD.

This drama teaches an important lesson: if you struggle with the loss of a pet, just wait for it to come back…
This sent me into a spiral, thank you for this comment, it made my morning !!! :D

This should have been called "Dialogue the series". The dialogues between characters felt so stretched, fabricated and in 80% nonsensical that I couldn't help it, but speed it up. Sometimes a certain scene lasted up to 10 minutes where they just talk, but in the end it feels like no substance or value has been added to the plot or the development of their relationship. Communication is important and that's often what we lack in BL, but damn the dialogue felt insanely empty and the slow-paced delivery wasn't helping it at all. Also why did it feel like they filmed this drama backwards and the characters (main and supporting) had less chemistry as the series went on. This group of friends was one of the most rehearsed, least charismatic group of friends I've ever seen, it felt most of the time like they barely met and every time they hang out it's their first time, that's how awkward it felt. The main relationship also felt very one-sided for majority of the series (up until the very end), which wasn't too enjoyable to watch. It had potential to be cute, but it left
an incredibly awkward imprint in my memory. For the effort of the cast and crew imma give it 5/10. I didn't hate it, but I definitely cannot say I enjoyed myself.

POSSIBLE SPOILERS BELOW: Just caught up on this, gritting my teeth rather than using the FF button just because…
Ok, Oompa loompa... I have never read a more biased, illiterate and disgusting "take on a show" cause this is not a credible review in the slightest. I understand that your life must be very difficult, seeing how easily you project anger towards a complete stranger, that you know nothing about. If you're that insecure, that the only way you can express yourself in is to attack one's appearance, seek medical help, I hope you recover. Pitiful attempts at shaming Holland for the way that he looks and many hateful remarks towards Holland "...with that yellow-haired corpse named Holland" , "Holland had waded into the ocean and ended it all, and I could only pray it were so", quoting just a bit of these nasty, but at the same bland descriptors. You weren't even smart enough to hide your appalling hatred behind the character's name. You couldn't even phrase your thoughts into proper opinions. People like you do not deserve an internet connection, there are others who could actually write something constructive instead of blasting off their emotional baggage and insecurities onto a stranger. This "rant" of yours is in no way a critique, nor a review and in no way this is something a happy and secure person would be able to form. This is not even a "hot take", nor an "unpopular opinion", this is a vomit of an immature, despised, hilariously insecure being. The show, the acting, the soundtrack, the plot, everything deserves critique, especially when there's much to be improved upon (like in this case, where every department and every actor was lacking), but blatantly targeting one subject like you did is not the way. There's a way to uplift and compliment (OBVIOUSLY) one of your favourite actors, without spewing hatred towards another, just because you're not fond of the fact that your "gorgeous actor" has made out with an openly gay "yellow-haired corpse". To which I respond - "you could never". The underlining motives of your comment are abundantly clear and you're not fooling anybody. Hope you gonna have an average day... at best. Heal soon.

the outro song is Spark by A.C.E! not released yet
Oh, my A.C.E boys <3 ! Will be definitely listening once it's out (check out "Higher by A.C.E for good grades, luck and nice weather) Still, the instrumental itself sounds so familiar that I'm pretty sure I have a song with a really similar melody in my library, somewhere... among the 1000s of songs gathered over the years :D. Thank you tho, definitely will listen to "Spark" and now imma go back to searching, for the "old song" with that instrumental :D.

I love it so far, can anybody please tell me what is the melody at the end of the episode ?
The instrumental from this outro sounds so familiar, like I know for sure I heard a song with the exact instrumental, maybe just a little bit sped up.
I've been playing it repeatedly, trying to remember the name of the song, but all in vain :<.

It's definitely an improvement to the main series. Everybody did a better job at acting and it felt like the cast got way closer to each other, which was visible during those special episodes. Wishing everybody involved in this series much luck and many more successful roles in this business :3.

Title Gameboys
Talented, brilliant, incredible, amazing, show stopping, spectacular, never the same, totally unique, completely not ever been done before. I love it from the very beginning to the very end, some parts made me pause for a long while, but just because many of the situations hit close to home because of this whole pandemic. I hope everybody is staying safe and sound as much as possible. Thank you Gameboys for being one of the best experiences this year. Now just waiting for season 2 <3. Been watching BLs for years, but this one hits close to home like no other. Cast is amazing, all of them are talented and beautiful inside out. All the guys are handsome and Adrianna is the most gorgeous woman ever. Cheers to season 2 guys !
