No spoiling please as I still haven't been able to watch ep1 unfortunately. I will try make time soon. I have been reading nice reviews on here and the score 8.3 looks very promising. I can see why many people here are excited by the premiere

I think to answer you question mainly because it's mostly women who make up majority in c-drama viewership possibly like 70-80%. They build report & bond to certain female leads so why many dramas built around the female lead.

Male Leads are more like Master of Ceremony type characters now. I hope answered your question. This is just my thoughts others might think different. Contradictory I am really watching this drama for Xu Kai

I remember when youth dramas were the thing. I watched so many. They were 20-24 episodes long. Felt it was perfect. Big names want big paychecks and will only get it if they do 36 to 40 episodes

Wonderland of Love best example. Never got tired watching because the leads so good to watch.

40 episodes X 45 minutes just seems to long which is 30 hours viewing time.

Wonderland of Love was exactly that but Wonderland of Love is the best drama I have watched I think in years. Jing Tian and Xu Kai beautiful together. I wish to see magic in this drama so hopeful

There have been examples of both leads doing dramas as leads together in multiple dramas. Other countries tend to do it more often like Philippines. Zhao Yiqin & Li Jiaqi not idol status but done now 3 dramas together so if it works, it works.

Very nice review. Scores we did nearly identical. Glad you enjoyed. Think plenty to potential with the cast and still fingers crossed for the leads to do another drama together.

I enjoyed that it really left on a high note for the characters. Well done team as you said. I felt bad in my review I said this drama didn't have a stronger second couple. They came stronger in the final 5 episodes. Nearly in tears during the finale.

Karlina amazing. Gao ZhiTing if you haven't watched The Old Dreams with him and Jelly Lin I recommend it. He looks to be very good in dramas relating to fundamentals like this drama Folk music. Old Dreams about bicycle industry during the 90's.

Finale soon. Fine drama.
Would like Karlina and Gao Zhiting appear in another drama. Both would believe by watching the end product that they did work well together.
