S.K have strict and hard immmigration rules. Although I wish to live in S.K, I don't see anything wrong with having…
They have different beliefs that can harm the unity of the Chinese people. Again, community/collectivism plays an important role. Diversity in thinking or even in looks is definitely not something they are fond of in East-Asian countries as it destabilizes the homogeneity of the country. Your argument is actually the opposite. You believe in more flexible immigration to welcome more diversity, but East-Asian countries want to close the borders because they are exactly against this phenomenon called diversity

Every country believes that their ethnicity is superior, but most received a hard lesson. For example, Nazi Germany…
I agree with you that the business mindset of East-Asians are on a different level, but this is due to Confucianism, which put education and collectivism at the highest level.

You can talk about community as much as you want, but it is a whole different level in East-Asian countries. South-Korea was almost destroyed during the IMF/Asia Crisis in 1997. Did you know how they survived? 3.51 million people united and handed in their gold (their personal wealth) to pay off the debt of Korea with the IMF (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gold-collecting_campaign). No other country, except for Japan or China, has such strong communal ties. Compare this with African tribes such as the Ghanaian Ashantis who sold their own people to Western countries as slaves and you understand the difference. Korea, Japan and China are immensely loyal towards their home countries. Africans are more myopic, whilst East-Asians are long-term oriented people. China was preparing for world domination not in 2004, but as early as 1978 when Deng Xiaoping reformed the economy: (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chinese_economic_reform). Also China is not just your average country. It has the largest population in the world. Hong Kong (together with Tokyo) is the capital of finance in Asia and Taiwan is the king of hardware technology (semiconductors etc.). Add Shenzhen's dominance in software and you have a three-headed monster. There is a reason why Mainland China wants to unite these three regions with each other under one system. Also contrary to popular belief, Korea was actually able to grow so quickly due to their chaebols and their ties with Japan. This is also the reason why the Koreans accepted the halfhearted apologies of Japan regarding comfort woman initially. Only when China in the early 2000s became the most important trade partner, Korea started to revolt against Japan. So yes, China, Japan and Korea are intertwined and attributed their success to each other (especially the connection between Japan-Korea and China-Hong Kong-Taiwan).

To be fair, I think East-Asians are just better at trade/diplomacy. They have been at the center of thousands of centuries trade with Western countries and each other.

I agree with you. Open borders do not result in less racism... It is quite the opposite... Ask people why they voted for Brexit and you will understand that they hated the fact that their borders were too open and allowed Eastern-Europeans to immigrate to the UK. Also, China has very diverse ethnic groups, but there is systemic racism against anything not Han-Chinese or similar in features.

Strict immigration laws or not, there is more diversity in China than in most other countries. There are 56 ethnic groups in China, but only the Han Chinese or ethnic groups that are similar in features are considered the "right" kind of Chinese. Opening up China to more ethnicities/nationalities will definitely not make them more open to other cultures. If they cannot tolerate Uighurs or Tibetans, they definitely do not welcome Black or South-East Asian people...

Do you know what the Bamboo network is? It is not as simple as familial ties. It is the connection of businesses in South-East Asia and other countries forming an extension/satellite of Mainland China. So for example, if I want to start a business in the US selling TVs, I will have my guy in China that help me produce it. Through these connections/guanxi, you can build out a very strong network of businesses. The backbone of successful communities such as the Jews, Indians, Chinese, Koreans and Japanese are strong due to their strong home countries. They have the whole infrastructure to rival the West, from top engineering universities to access to more advanced technology.

If you are from Nigeria for example, you cannot benefit from the leadership in production, IT or finance. In fact, if you have ever been to the Niger delta, you will realize how awful the Oil Majors pilfered their countries. Their rivers are so polluted that fish cannot even live anymore. You simply cannot copy the network models of China and Israel nowadays, because they are too late to the game. It took centuries to build these networks. For example, do you think a newcomer can destabilize Microsoft or Apple? Of course not, because both companies built up a very strong position throughout the years. Only when there is potential for disruption, the current establishment can be destabilized (for example, 5G or autonomous/electric vehicles). If you are a late-mover, you are always at a disadvantage. What remains is that Black people need to find their way in the West and cannot rely on the network from their home countries. They can only be successful if they can succeed in a society dictated by the rules of White people.

To answer your question why Black people did not start their network back then? Well, I guess they did not realize how precious natural resources are, because they had it in abundance. The West and some parts of East-Asia (such as Japan/Korea) did not have it and tricked them into selling it on the cheap and created a culture of corruption in those countries. Had they known the value of building a strong connected business network, Africa would have been the most important continent due to their natural resources.

Finally, I think the way of thinking is also different between Black people and East-Asians (Chinese/Koreans/Japanese). East-Asians are much better big-picture thinkers than most give them credit for. Let me give you an anecdote. When Singapore was founded by Lee Kuan Yew, LKY made a deliberate decision to make the two primary languages of Singapore English and Chinese. He also decided to keep the statue of Raffles (a big colonialist) in tact, so he could give the impression to the West that he was still open to doing business with them and did not "judge" them for their shady past. He did not destroy any of the colonial heritage. As he was also Chinese by ethnicity, he already had a strong connection with China. So he could profit from both sides of the world. African countries on the other hand, when they were freed from colonization immediately took all the farms of White people and changed any names with a colonial past (Rhodesia named after Cecil Rhodes became Zimbabwe). Black people are not cunning enough like the Jews and the East-Asians... Even with this drama, it shows the difference in approach. For example, East-Asians (or Jews) would never mail NBC or FOX for their wrong racial portrayal of their ethnicity (religion). Black people will, but this has an adverse effect. By mailing SBS to criticize the Rastaguy for example, the executives/Koreans will get annoyed and dislike Black people even more. East-Asians (but also the Jews) understand that there is a bigger picture at stake and do not want to piss of their trading partners, even if it means that they have to tolerate discrimination...

I agree to your comment ..to some extent. While I do understand why they aren't in good terms with the Japanese…
Why would they care. They have a civilization that is much older than that of the Western countries. Their Confucian philosophy is also much older, why would they feel the need to adhere to Western-made up rules? That same West that made the Chinese addicted to opium to "steal" their leading position in the world. There is a reason that the Chinese referred to the period where they lost their position as the "Century of Humiliation". They bowed to the Western countries when they were at the lowest point, but they have always had the mentality to get this position back - at all cost. If that means that copying Western brands and reverse engineer their products to produce it at a lower cost, they definitely will. You should blame the "honesty" of the Western countries for falling for the cunning plans of China. East-Asia is never a region that you can hold in leash. They are too aware of the fact that they are different in thinking and traditions

I am not sure whether you are a bit ignorant or trolling.

The Chinese are successful in those countries because of the Bamboo network. The Jews on the other hand were discriminated and started working in "dirty" businesses such as banking (lending money etc.), but as finance became more established and more prestigious, they automatically also grew in standing. India profited from the fact that they are good in IT and engineering. Initially they did the simple IT tasks of the Western countries, but they learnt to use those tools to create much more accomplished software/solutions. Africa, on the other hand, was pilfered from all their natural resources from the Whites and later also by China/Japan, so there is not much to benefit from any network like the Chinese and Japanese did when they were oppressed in America or any South-East Asian country. Native Vietnamese people (so non-Chinese-Vietnamese) are definitely not that successful. Hmongs, mainly people from Laos and Vietnam, are one of the worst performing ethnic groups in America.

The Chinese and the Jews did not overcome prejudice because of assimilation. It is quite the contrary, they overcame it by understanding that they were not seen in the similar light as White people and therefore needed to work harder. They also build strong communities with very high allegiance to their home countries. Jews are always proud of Israel. Chinese are always proud of China/Taiwan/Hong Kong etc. They are always Chinese first, then American or Singaporean. Black people are actually the only ones that want to assimilate, but then are rejected by White people because of their skin color. You hardly see any Asian representatives in Western politics, because they understand that it is not their country. The main Asian representation comes from the Koreans, who experienced a trauma with the LA Riots (Rodney King) where police officers only protected the richer White neighborhoods and allowed Black people to riot the Korean businesses in poorer neighborhoods (Koreatown). This made them realize that they needed representation in politics to have their voices heard. Google "Roof Koreans" for fun and you will see how painful both groups (Blacks and Koreans) were treated... They were allowed to fight each other, so that they could not loot in richer White neighborhoods...

I heard similar things too. Kdramas are too popular and some high school or university students want to visit…
This sounds about right. Even very powerful people (CEOs) from non-Korean descent, non-Chinese or non-Japanese descent fall for this treatment. They think that they are king in the country, but once they get too powerful and disrespect the native employees/people, the countries will have no troubles getting rid of them via the law. It is all about pride and saving face in those countries, not about who is right or wrong.

Can anyone living in Korea care to educate me, because this is just my opinion. But I don't think Koreans in general…
Every country believes that their ethnicity is superior, but most received a hard lesson. For example, Nazi Germany believed that the Aryan race was most important, but was heavily discredited after World War II by other nations. China, Korea and Japan are one of the few countries never to be fully colonized by any country outside themselves, so they were never "corrected" and still very much believe in this concept of ethnic homogeneity and pure bloodline. The fact that Koreans do not look down on Japanese or Chinese in comparison to for example a Black person, is because their histories are intertwined.

The Chinese are the cultural founding fathers of Japan and Korea (the Hanja/Kanji writing system is a legacy of it). So the three countries believe that they have a common origin. Yes, they hate each other, but not because they think that one country is racially inferior to another. More because of Japan's savageness during WWII. Interesting note, the Japanese initially started WWII, because they dreamed of uniting the three countries and creating one big Pan-Asian bloc of the same ethnicity and Confucian ideology as a counterweight to the Judo-Christian West. But winning a (world) war is quite difficult and you need to manage the soldiers' fear/stress/paranoia and sexual urges. In one earlier war in Russia, the Japanese lost 1/3 of their army due to syphilis and gonorrhea due to the frequent visits of their army to prostitutes. So to avoid this from occurring again, they welcomed the idea of comfort women where they could control the "hygiene" of the women. On the other hand, Japan and SK hate the Chinese and North-Koreans, because they are commies and vice versa, not because of their ethnicity. Anyway, I digress...

The reason that they believe that South-East Asia is racially inferior to them is because they do not share this same common origin and because many South-East Asian countries used to be colonized by East-Asian or Western nations. They look down on Africa for the same reason, because they were colonized by Western countries. They do not look down on Western/White countries, because they used to be the two big blocs dominating the world and because they were trading partners: The British/French/Americans on one side and the Chinese (and later Japan) on the other. Also, the US plays an important role in protecting Korea and Japan from mainland China, so the enemy of their enemy becomes their friend.

BTW, did you know that the dominance of East-Asian countries is also the reason why the West/Hollywood always paint East-Asian men as weak? Or call these countries the "Yellow danger". It is because these countries used to dominate the West, so they used propaganda/negative media portrayal to mock and downplay the influence/impact of East-Asia. Japan for example handed America an unexpected blow via Pearl Harbor (which was actually not that unexpected in hindsight, because having America/Hawaii around the corner prevented Japan from conquering Indonesia that had important natural resources for fuel and weapons, so they wanted to take out the offshore army-bases of America quick). Prior to Japan's cheeky move, China used to be the hegemon in this world. After losing the Opium Wars, they relinquished this position to the British (who lost it to the Americans after WWI and WWII and the fall of the British Empire). But China is slowly taking this position back from the West by building a new Silk Route via the Belt-and-Road Inititiative and 5G. That is why all these Western governments are so afraid that China wins the 5G-race, because the country that wins this battle will dominate the next decades digitally with the rise of more automation and internet of things etc. With the Belt-and-Road Initiative they will also dominate the world physically/logistically...

Hope my post, where I explained the superiority feelings of East-Asians towards other countries and how the West framed the East-Asians in their media due to their own insecurities, helped you find your own answers to your questions
