I've put this on hold b/c it was so political in the first episode, but I want to pick it up again soon for Taecyeon…
Taecyeon's role grows, yes. He is gradually introduced, becomes larger, and starts fading again towards the end. His role is important, is widely loved by the other characters, but you have to love something else about the drama as well to watch Assembly, or else it'll get boring.

Is this an okay drama for someone who doesn't like politics? I'm only willing to watch it for my boy Taecyeon.…
You don't need to like politics, but you need to be prepared for a lot of heavy political conversations and themes.

why???? first I saw that this drama have 24 episodes but now only is 18 why????
It went from 20, to getting a 4-episode extension, to being cut down to 16. Recently it got a 2-episode extension so it's at 18 now.

i missed a few episodes, sorry i won't re-watch them... but what made Gyuhwan believe in Jin Sang Pil? last time…
Sang Pil never accepted any type of bribery even when Gyu Hwan tried to make him accept it, he worked all night to build a bridge for a grandfather and little girl whom could not cross the river during rainy seasons, his goal has always been to put the people before himself and more than anyone else he takes care of and respects the people in his office. Gyu Hwan also realised that his father wanted for Sang Pil to become an assemblyman and work for the weaker people in society. These small things built up, and Gyu Hwan realised Sang Pil could have never been responsible for Bae Dal Soo dying.

The sixth episode was touching on so many levels. And it was the first time for me cheering on the mother. Can't wait for them to get closer.

I thought I was the only one thinking she should divorce him. I can't stand him at all, and it only gets worse in episode 6. He has no backbone ugh -.-

Is this 16 or 12 episodes? I've seen other places have 12 listed.

I totally don't mind that our main characters kinda got relegated to supporting ones if the screentime is taken…
I agree. Everything about the new characters is amazing.
