I..don't know if there'll be anything about the leads' dynamic that I'll enjoy. The rape scenario is absolutely ridiculous and wrong. It truly, and I'm sure you've heard it, takes away from actual (male) victims of rape. Park Kyung Soo is a great writer, but I don't think even a mind-blowing explanation will really make up for how big of an impact the first two episodes have made on a lot of international viewers (I haven’t checked how K-netizens have reacted to this, or if they have) who were actually excited about this drama. I haven't seen anyone address the issue on MDL, so I thought I'd write a comment to see if someone has been thinking about this as well.
It doesn't matter to me what Young Joo does next, she is wrong, and it baffles my mind that she would turn the situation around on Dong Joon and say she was more afraid of entering the hotel room than he was of knowing a tape existed. It was your plan, Young Joo - you knew what you were doing. I'm not really enjoying Dong Joon's development either. I somehow ended up watching the first two episodes, and now I wonder where they're going to take this relationship, and if they're ever going to address this as abuse.
I’m going to stay for a while because I want to see what they’ll do with Dong Joon, and the supporting cast is great. But I just don’t see why I would like the female lead, ever, and why they would turn them into lovers. No.
