Re-watching episode one cuz I think I missed a lot of clues the first time. I also saw the comparison of Jonghyun’s life to this drama, so that makes it even sadder. Been listening to “Lonely” today. Whether or not it’s very loosely based on his life, it makes you think of the idols who have passed and the lives they lead. I was thinking of Moonbin when I first saw this and it made me sad.

It looked like Propofol. Apparently, Yoon Young has everyone addicted (daughter of politician is as well), which is how she controls them.

That was creepy to see the eclipse as soon as it started on the day of the eclipse!😳 I had to check out the July 22, 2009 eclipse…it was the longest eclipse this century in SE Asia! What an emotional beginning, though🥺

That’s awful that it doesn’t work on Netflix. I usually have to play around with it to get it to work, but it eventually does. Hope you can watch it soon!

Man, the ending of ep 5😳… she can’t trust anyone. I think the only one on her side is Jin Woo. This is such a great thriller, it keeps you guessing with all the unexpected twists.

That’s quite a take. lol. I say that as a BL fan. Ah, capitalism, the failed economic theory cultivating and codifying greed & exploitation. That was portrayed quite well in War of Faith, as well. This was an excellent political thriller based on historical events. I wasn’t cheering for, nor expecting romance nor bromance, I was just enjoying the incredible storytelling. Everyone gets something different out of shared experiences.

Best political thriller of 2024. Hands down. Exceptional acting, incredible cinematography, gripping storytelling, thrilling action, and a fascinating historical political story based on true events. This is by far my favorite Chinese drama. Looking forward to watching this again soon.
