I understand that most people do not want to know the truth, they would rather believe their version of the truth. You fall into that category. I’m not going to explain every single thing. Most of what you read about CBLs are rumors repeated by people outside the Mainland, they are not true. As I said, start reading actual Chinese government websites rather than repeating what outside influencers (lies for clicks) told you. Then you’ll learn what I stated is true. Or, don’t. Just don’t continually repeat lies & rumors, it’s annoying.

Also, you should read actual Chinese Government websites every once in awhile & educate yourself about their laws & policies before claiming to know what you’re talking about. I have been closely following these changes since 2024, when Blue Canvas of Youthful Days & Meet you at the Blossom were released.

There’s a lot of misinformation out there, so I’m not blaming you, but you should still try to learn the actual reason that you’re able to watch CBLs and not repeat rumors & things that are patently false.

You need to pay attention a little more. BL is not banned in China. Every drama goes through the approval process. All dramas airing in the Mainland are censored so children can watch them, it’s not specifically CBLs. And yes, every CBL you have watched has received a broadcast license after it was approved to air. They seek international distribution licenses outside the Mainland (this is why Mainland productions are labeled from Singapore, Thailand, etc.) They are distributed internationally through those countries. Policies changed after Two Sessions in March 2025. They went into effect in May 2025. That is the reason you can watch CBLs.

You’re incorrect. Policies changed in May 2025. That is why you are able to watch CBLs. Every CBL Goes through the NRTA approval process for broadcast. Plenty of CBLs air or only air in the Mainland. Our Youth premieres on MGTV on Sunday. Do you really believe all of these Mainland production companies are producing CBLs & then sneaking out to air them internationally? That’s absurd & it doesn’t happen. They all go through the NRTA approval process.

MGTV exclusively produced Love Hidden in the Blade. All CBLs that you are watching have gone through the NRTA approval process. They were all licensed for broadcast by the NRTA, regardless of who produced them.

FYI, it’s co-produced by Youku, they’re able to air it now. That’s why it’s a Youku exclusive. No need to worry. MGTV did the same.

That’s why they shouldn’t do a second season. It doesn’t really matter why they left. What matters is they don’t have the same characters nor the same actors. It changes the show entirely.

I don’t think there should be second seasons if they can’t bring back the entire cast. Abruptly changing characters can really ruin a S2. I’m not looking forward to this in Good Partner either. Why are they making second seasons if they can’t bring back the same cast?

Every CBL you are now watching went through the NRTA approval process to be licensed to broadcast. They are licensed for DISTRIBUTION outside the Mainland. CBLs often air in the Mainland without being broadcast internationally. The majority of CBLs you are enjoying are fully Mainland productions.

It has absolutely nothing to do with that. The original production company went bankrupt. Tencent had the broadcast rights, but the contract was automatically canceled when the company went under. A new production company has taken on Winner is King and they are trying to get another OTT (IQIYI, MGTV, Youku) to buy the broadcast rights & air it. That is the only obstacle to actually airing this. It has nothing to do with censorship. In fact, the NRTA changed the policies in May 2025 that would allow them to broadcast all previous CBLs that have been made. They have the green light to air, they just have to find OTTs to air them. There are about 8 waiting to air.

I just re-watched the first ten eps again because I thought something was up when I watched the first time, but now I’m sure of it. My theory is that Xiaofan has secretly been accumulating wealth by trading stocks since he first learned how in the “salon” so he could be more equal to Lu Qing. I believe he’s a millionaire atp. There is definitely a reason why they focus so much on the markets. I believe he has been plotting this for years. I don’t believe he’s simple at all - that’s just what they want us to believe. Even Lu Qing knew he was calculating- he repeatedly accused him of “doing this on purpose” from when they first met. Also, I think Lu Qing personally chose Xiaofan to marry his sister. I think he fell for him at first sight. Lu Qing knows him the best & yet he doesn’t know what Xiaofan has been planning, though he suspects something. I believe Xiaofan is a lot smarter than they have lead us to believe. He has been absorbing everything. Now, he’s making his move. He’s getting rid of the obstacles all at once. Lu Qing also worked on getting rid of obstacles (his mother’s power - buying up her shares) just so he could be with Xiaofan. This relationship is definitely not built on trust nor any type of communication (so frustrating!), but they seem to have a mutual goal - to be together. Now I’m curious if my theory is correct.🤔

This was my most anticipated Thai BL this year & it has far exceeded my expectations. Best BL of 2026!🙃
