Man, I wish I can edit my review. I meant to say that I watched until I was 1:06 in the movie.

Me and my typos... -_____-

Well, interesting drama but too repetitive. And WHAT The hell happened with the last episode. How can this end…
I just saw it; it was one of the cheapest endings I have seen. Really!? A montage episode!? It ruined the flow all the episodes had *ignores w/e 9th episode*

I DO want to read the manga though; I hope the ending is better.

So where can we watch this with English subs?
Well, the 1st and 2nd movie is subbed (and dubbed, but the dub is terrible) and sold officially in the States, so perhaps you can rent the movie from RedBox (I have no clue about Netflix though).

I bought both of them on release date, and I don't regret it. I replayed the Tanaka alien scene (red shirt dude with beam in mouth) quite a few times. As a fan of the manga, I'm worried if it won't end as well as the movies did.

Everyone has there own ways of getting out of a drama slump. Personally, me and my sister talk about what drama we're pseudo-watching together (she's 24 hours away from me at her college), so we decide what to watch next via a long chat, debating if we should watch something from one of our favorite actors/writers/etc., or watch something with interesting screen-caps we saw on one of Tokyohive's Drama Reports (it would be nice if there was a K Drama equivalent).

But that mention of "Almost Paradise" in Boys Over Flowers brings me back. To a dark place. I personally hate that song for some reason. Maybe it IS because it played every 2 seconds in that drama.

I liked Black Butler in passing, but I only read it for the fangirlt goodness. My main concern is OH MY GOSH HIRO IS COMING OUT OF RETIREMENT AS A SEXY DEMON BUTLER OH YES I'M GLAD THE MAYANS WERE WRONG!

All I can do is spazz now!

Sorry for the delay, the holidays were killing my brain XD

I just finished Yuusha 2 a few days ago (just forgot to update it here), and it was AWESOME! All the comedy magic from the 1st season were in the second one too.

After college applications, I'll think about writing some stuff for the site. I've just been so busy writing application essays (T___T)

EDIT: And yes, I do realize that saying excuses for not writing is terrible for a writer.

Season 2 airs in Dec. can't wait!
Really!?

Where's a source for this news?

Aw, I had no idea that today was his birthday; he's just too awesome. After seeing him in the Kudo-writen dramas "Unubore Deka" and "Tiger and Dragon," I kinda wish he would be my dad XD

I didn't want to spoil the odd ending at the Kisarazu Nihon movie, but I don't really know how the spoiler thing works; my whole comment is now spoilered(?)! Oh well.

Hana Kimi 2007 version 5EVA! *ahem*

The Kisarazu Nihon series is really great, but the ending made me question the reality of the show. I just thought it was a ridiculous comedy, then the monster guy showed up and I thought it turned into Godzilla. The second movie (which is awesome)is weirder compared to the drama, but not the random-monster level weird at the end of the first movie. However, it was a great reason (read: excuse) to hear Mouko's dad play the ocarina(?).

And the Kisarazu song was stuck in my head for the longest time. I used to concert in the movie to practice my karaoke skills (they're still terrible BTW). That song, as well as the ending theme, are catchy as hell!

WHAT?! She's born the same year as I am?
Me too! Now I feel unaccomplished with my life, as she has went this far while I just sit on my ass being unproductive (T____T)

Even with my complaints, To The Beautiful You isn't completely bad for a teen drama, but the clicheness isn't worth sacrificing time over; I've been busy since school started D: I thought I could read some less idol-biased reviews once the show is over to see if it gets any better. I wonder if that could happen though, a lot of young&dumb; SHINee fangirls are already claiming it's a masterpiece.

As for the Kisarazu Cat's Eye movies... you can buy legally subbed DVDs off of rightstuf.com; that's where I got them. I know, young people buying movies; how preposterous. The only other thing I can help you with is signing up to AsiaTorrents, but that is hard to do, that's 500 hours of seeding right there :/

Kinda random, but checking your list, what do you think of GTO 2012 so far? The 1998 version is brilliant, so I'm hesitant to see the remake, even with the great cast.

Glad you finished the show; Kisarazu Cat's Eye is freakin' hysterical. Believe it or not, the two movie sequels are just as great. The second movie ended the whole story so well :)

I love Cat's Eye and Tiger & Dragon equally, but the classiness of Unubore Deka makes that show *super* dear to me. I love humming the White Suit theme as I walk around the house like a badass. I want that song to play whenever I enter a room.

The characters in his show ends up being like friends to me. They silliness just makes me feel like I've known them forever for some reason! He's a skilled writer; I'm excited for his next show!

I see you're watching To The Beautiful You. How do you like it? I gave up at episode 4; remake or not, the show was too focused on cinematography and special effects and forgot about a decent story (or actors). Just my opinion though, as Nagase's acting spoiled me XD
On From Me to You Aug 23, 2012
I love the manga, but the movie was lame. It just showed pivotal scenes from the manga without giving you the proper context to care about the characters. It's a shame the movie just rushed from moment A to moment B, skipping the small moments that made you know how Sawako is a sweet young girl growing up to be friendly to people. I watched the movie thinking "WHY should I care about this crap?"

Even Kazehaya in live-action could save the movie from being lazy with transition. Hate to sound like a manga-purist, but read it; it's much better :)

What was the point of writing a review after seeing one episode? Writing the same thing here (and by here I mean…
To support their oppars! Don't you know! Giving high reviews to drama sites will make mah oppars viral and global and everyone will realize their greatness! /sarcasm

Seriously, this crap annoys me. Writing early reviews will NOT help your biases in any way. I know these fangirls are 13 and stupid (like everyone was when they're young), but damn. It's annoying.

I love being told I'm awesome; it validates my questionable life choices. Perhaps I should do more things around here.

And I'm one of those "weird" kids without a Facebook. Yes, I'm somewhat worried about what a corporation would do with information I put on it, but I don't want one because my mom uses it. The last thing I need is an endless newsfeed of things she cooked. Even if it's delicious.

... but seriously, Aragaki Yui is too freakin' cute; it drives me insane! Don't question me! Especially when surrounded by all those random multicultural babies in the intro to Smile. The babies are adorable, but lacked in comparison to Yui-I mean, just creeped me out with their... baby-ness. Like they're adorable larvae with a vendetta against human flesh (out of all the things in the first episode, how did I forget to review THAT!?). Trying to figure out why I think this.

For good ol' Yuusha, I was going to do both. I watched the show with my sister, and our dumb commentary (mostly us pausing the show and laughing) made it WAY more enjoyable. So I'll end up getting the episodes while she's at her college, and start watching it when she comes over for break. The series will probably still be airing, so we'll end up waiting once a week eventually.

As agonizing as it is, I prefer watching the show once a week. Yes, the wait is painful, then you rejoice as you can finally watch the next episode.

Wah! I'm glad you liked my review for episode 1 for Smile! I'm glad that it's on the FB, more people can see it :)

I written it a bit before I remembered to post it, because the first episode really touched me. I was just goofing off on the Internet when I realized my download for the show was done, so I wanted to see if a glitch happened in the download or something. I ended up watching the whole thing and crying like a baby. Thankfully, no one saw me crying in the corner of the living room.

Glad you're gonna watch it too!
