The story went well feom beginning but then suddenly I have to watch some dragging episodes especially after reached 60% of the episodes. Then fast forwarding seemed to be appropriate. Maybe this drama should just stay to a max. of 36 episodes. You would probably be questioning the actions taken by the character Xiao Yao when she went back in time either the 1st or the 2nd one. Anyway, they were done deal as per script. I agreed that the chemistry between FL and ML seemed to be charged at only 60%. I don't see age as a factor as I have seen good ones. Anyway, the ending was also a disappointment as FL and ML parted in such a way and all done in a hurry..Hence, I have difficulty to feel the sadness of sudden parting. Anyway, this drama is still good to watch.

This is a good drama to watch...definitely. The story and script are good. The story flow smoothly. The actings were superb by all involved. Cheng Yi as lead character played his role very well indeed. He is super cool even when he was filled with anger, hatred and revenge in mind. Good delivery of the character. Dramatic ending for Xie Huai An and Wu Zhong Heng, between the student and teacher but in battle of the wit, either one can win depending who is more meticulous in the strategies. Recommended to watch this drama.

So far so good for a wuxia fantasy drama. The effects, actings, OSTs...thumbs up.

Totally agree as this is a historical drama and I do appreciate the story. Only when the family regrouped together again after the kidnapping case, I would actually like to see more emotions there as the risks and impact were high

This is a good drama to watch.. Need to be a real strategist and planner to come out with meticulous plans to fight the Japanese at that time supported by strong teamwork. Anyway, the actings were all good except that I found RJL as He Xian was a bit 'stiff' with his wife when more emotions were needed actually towards each other. There were also scenes that I think were dragging and not required. In fact, the drama can be more interesting to watch.

Straightforward and easy to follow the story. Appreciate that focus given on main characters love story of at least 60% for this drama. Hence, this kept my interest to watch the drama without fast forwarding the scenes. Sometimes having 2nd ML and 2nd FL helps but sometimes it can be a disaster to the ML and FL especially if they have better chemistry than the leads. Anyway, good delivery of characters by EY and HY. However, I felt the script just got a bit lost 'somewhere' and the ending just doesn't feel right on the closure.

This drama has a good title but the story was below expectation. Second Chance Romance should be focusing on the ML and FL reconcilation after the long seperation and the excitement of the son and mother to be together. However, I watched the life of FL as a ballet instructor and her obsession of finding her father. Then the ML who is successful in his business but not able to say a word to his mum who kept popping everyday at his door to control his life...based on observation the moments of FL and ML together in this drama was probably maximum of 35%.. Maybe this drama should just be retitled to Second Chance in Happiness.

What a sweet kind of romance for this drama. Innocent young man and an established mature lady....but the bonding was so strong. Good to know that there are still this type of guys these days.

This is indeed a good drama to watch. The story is good and well written. Cheng Yi has superbly delivered his role and the emotions he had for his character can be felt, calm but filled with anger, sad and hatred mainly. So far all actors delivered well for this drama.

1st time watching Cdrama version on aliens as the usual Hollywood versions. I like the productions setups, CGIs/FXs and the general story itself. Maybe some illogical aspects such as in current modern days we have machine guns, bombs, etc as tools to kill the aliens so why the hunters are still using the traditional ways? How to win when human strength in far below the aliens? Anyway, superb acting by DD as FL supported by DXX and others.

I love this drama as the story is good and the actings were superb. For survival the ML character had to used his shrewdness and at the same time helped the needy. Good delivery by Chen Xiao supported by others.

Yup..Sniper Butterfly is good to watch as it is naive and sweet romance drama but I also love Legend of Magnate which filled with planning, strategy and survival.

OMG..what a terrible script and plot. My favourite ML has become a victim to this poor script despite of his good actings....I noticed that sometimes he doesn't even have any dialogues and just left to stand and be a mute despite his character as the clever planner and strategist but STOP....he is not allowed to defend himself as per script written. The scriptwriter just left the ML on the side...what a waste of a superb actor in this drama...same goes for the FL, pity her. It doesnt made sense at all but she also became a victim to the script. A letdown by the production team..

What I like about this drama? Hardwork of production in FX/CGIs, cinematography, costumes and the setups for scenes. The actings of Luo YunXi, Jeremy Tsui and Alen Fang were superb and I liked the most in this drama. The unfortunate aspects of this drama is the story itself, I pity the character Tang Li Ci who kept suffering all the time in his life and the not so clever Princess Lang Ya's way of doing things. Anyway, I completed watching this drama because of the 'likes' I had for this drama.

This is a good drama to watch. It is about survival and determination to change the fate in life. Most drama within this era are good...

Disappointed with this drama as a whole. It started well in the first few episodes then it went crumbling down with a script that was here and there. Both ML and FL actings were good but unfortunately their chemistry was just so-so only eventhough they tried, FL lacked in emotion on this part, I guessed. 2ML and 2FL romance story was better though however it was, the love and pain can be felt. Anyway, overall this drama is still watchable.

Inlike the WOW start of this drama, giving ne the positive vibes of what will be next. Superb actings by RJL and PXR. The script and flow are good so far.

I would say that this drama is in the dark wuxia type and not everyone will like this sort of drama. I love the fight scenes, plenty of effort given here. For romance drama lovers, you will definitely stop somewhere and give up. The actings were good but can be better. Story wise, quite reasonable but not great. Anyway, it is watchable for me.

The story started well but then I was disappointed on how it progress. The script writing was not helping. I am not sure if it is me but I realised that ML has less dialogues in this drama, it was more on his facial expressions. Despite that his drama Cheng Yi has done well to lead and supported by good actors and actress in there. ai like watching CY is wuxia especially with his graceful sword's play. The FX visuals and camera works were good. Though the ending was not to my liking but I can appreciate it. However, I have seen few of Cheng Yi dramas where he as the ML that ended similar like this....too stereotyped for him.. I would love to see him getting a happy ending in period drama.
